The new milestone marks one major step for Parker Solar Probe and one giant leap for solar science. Just as landing on the Moon allowed scientists to understand how it was formed touching the very stuff the Sun is made of will help scientists uncover critical information about our closest star and its influence on the solar system. The first passage through the corona – and the promise of more flybys to come – will continue to provide data on phenomena that are impossible to study from afar.

Dec. 22, 2021: Earth's Spinning Faster Than 50 Years Ago, Will Spin Even Faster Warn Scientists. Monit Khanna  1 hour ago. Each day on Earth consists of 86,400 seconds, but this isn't exactly all the time. Sometimes, over the course of a year the speed increases or decreases, resulting in the addition of a second or two, more or less. This is affected by various factors -- the core of the planet, the oceans, the pull of the moon as well as the atmosphere. To accurately measure time, scientists made use of atomic clocks that kept time based on how electrons in caesium atoms fall from a high-energy, excited state back to normal. Atomic clocks aren’t affected by external changes like temperature shifts like regular clocks. However, over the years, scientists noticed that even the most accurate atomic clocks were shifting from the actual time it took for Earth to complete the rotation. According to Judah Levine, a physicist in the time and frequency division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, to prevent this difference from becoming too big, in 1972, scientists decided to add leap seconds to atomic clocks.

In this research, charged conjugated polymers have been incorporated in photovoltaic devices as a passivation molecule to achieve defect-free high-quality perovskite solar cell devices. The passivated defect-free device reveals a high efficiency of 20.17% with excellent reproducibility and also improved the long-term device stability by improving the hydrophobicity of the perovskite layer. These results obtained from perovskite solar cells have performed well beyond the commercial inorganic solar cell panels which are available in the market presently.Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati have developed hybrid perovskite-based solar devices to produce electricity from sunlight, which are highly efficient, cost effective, easy to manufacture and easily recyclable. These emerging perovskite-based semiconducting devices are considered the most promising due to their lowcost, ease of manufacturing as roll-to-roll devices, high material availability and easy recyclability.

Dec . 06, 2021: The award is to recognise their “highly original work’’ that broke down the understanding of matrices using certain methods (like iterative sparsification and interlacing polynomials). They also published new constructions of Ramanujan graphs that described the sparse, interconnected data networks, and their work has uncovered a new deep connection between linear algebra, polynomials and graph theory that is surprising to many. The original problem that was posed by Kadison and Singer was this: If one had to know about the state of a quantum system, would having complete knowledge of its sub systems help understand this system? If yes, to what extent? A practical application of this concept was the concept of matrices (yes, the math concept that had brackets and zeros and ones in certain locations). Asking the above question is equivalent to someone asking: Could matrices be broken down into more depth and simplified? If yes, how much? This problem had a lot of applications in many fields, like engineering, maths (obvio) and quantum physics. If someone knew how to answer this, they would have cracked the biggest problem that these fields faced and hopefully develop better ways to evolve.

Dec. 15, 2021: Scientists Do The Impossible: Stop Water From Freezing Even At -44°C Temperature. Monit Khanna  23 hours ago. This study was done in a process to learn more about the crystallization of water into ice at the molecular level. For this, researchers put droplets as small as two nanometres in contact with soft interfaces such as gels and lipids. Researchers found that they could maintain tiny droplets in a liquid state at temperatures of -44 degrees celsius by putting them in contact with soft surfaces. For the soft material, they used octane -- a type of oil -- that covered each droplet within the nanoscale pores of an anodized aluminium oxide membrane. This enabled the droplets to form a more circular shape with greater pressure, which according to the researchers is crucial for preventing ice formation at these low temperatures.

Her biodata and personal details I have listed in the trusciencetrutechnology@blogspot.com.  She told me that the Meteorides that fall on the Earth carry with them the human life ingrediants. Recent find of water and other earthly elements in distant objects reported by Japanese object 25143 Itokawa asteroid has shown that the object had both extraterrestrial water and organic material and also Americans findings were thrilling. When her son Dr K V N Rao (Ill) had been to USA, she expected a possible trip to visit USA (not materialized) and always observed the 4th July, the day of US independence.
