Jan. 20, 2022, 12:41 PM·The La Pampilla refinery has leaked over 6,000 barrels of oil after a tanker was hit by waves linked to Tonga's volcanic eruption on Saturday. Authorities have sealed off three beaches damaged by the spill and say they have discovered scores of dead animals covered in oil. The leak has harmed some 18,000 square kilometres (6,950 square miles) of protected zones containing a variety of rare plant and animal life. A government led clear-up of around three kilometres of beaches is also underway. The atmospheric wave pattern close to the eruption was quite complicated, but thousands of miles away it appeared as an isolated wave front travelling horizontally at over 650 miles an hour as it spread outward. This eruption was so powerful it caused the atmosphere to ring like a bell, though at a frequency too low to hear. The wave front travelled outward from Krakatoa and was observed making at least three complete trips around the globe. The waves seen after Krakatoa or the recent Tonga eruption are very low-frequency sound waves. The propagation occurs as local pressure changes produce a force on the adjacent air, which then accelerates, causing an expansion or compression with accompanying pressure changes, which in turn forces air farther along the wave's path.

In the endeavour to unfold the nature of dark matter, a trio of theoretical physicists, Professor of Physics Arunansu Sil and two of his PhD. students Arghyajit Datta and Rishav Roshan of IIT Guwahati, Physics Department find that the origin and production of dark matter can actually be connected to the origin of neutrino mass. The mystery of neutrino mass may be related to the lack of its right-handed counterpart. In fact, the present work of the team shows that the lightest right-handed or sterile neutrino provided it exists as a part of a popular neutrino mass generation mechanism, having a mass of order a kilo to a mega electron-volts can be the dark matter candidate, the origin and production of dark matter can actually be connected to the origin of neutrino mass.
Jan. 29  2022 15:18 IST: Solar Storm That Struck Earth 9200 Years Ago Is Damaging Ice Buried Under Greenland: Study. A study revealed an immensely strong solar storm had struck the Earth 9,200 years ago, damaging the ice deeply buried underneath Greenland and Antarctica. This 9200-year-old solar storm was detected when researchers were looking for radioactive isotopes of beryllium-10 and chlorine-36 in ice cores. Further, when high-energy cosmic particles had reached the Earth during the massive solar storm then those ice cores were created, and radioactive isotopes got preserved in ice for thousands of years. According to the study, the authors had examined numerous cores excavated in Antarctica and Greenland, LiveScience reported.
Jan. 30, 2022: In the chaos before cooling, a fraction of these particles collided to form short-lived “X” particles — so named because of their mysterious, unknown structures. “X” particles are extremely rare, although physicists have theorised that they may be created in particle accelerators through quark coalescence, where high-energy collisions can generate similar flashes of quark-gluon plasma. Now physicists have found evidence of “X” particles in the quark-gluon plasma produced in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, based near Geneva, Switzerland. The team used machine-learning techniques to sift through more than 13 billion heavy ion collisions, each of which produced tens of thousands of charged particles. Amid this ultra-dense, high-energy particle soup, the researchers were able to detect about 100 “X” particles, of a type known as “X” (3872), named for the particle’s estimated mass. The results mark the first time researchers have detected “X” particles in quark-gluon plasma — an environment that they hope will illuminate the particles’ as-yet unknown structure.

Jan. 10, 2022 at 6:30 am: Taiwan’s tech giants are being hit by India culture shock. A year after Apple supplier Wistron faced an uprising in India, its larger rival Foxconn Technology Group is encountering a similar rebuke. This time, their key client is getting drawn into what ought to serve as a wake-up call for Taiwanese manufacturers in the South Asian nation. Concerns about food safety and accommodation standards spurred Apple to take the unusual step of placing the factory near the southern Indian city of Chennai on probation. More than 17,000 people work at the facility, and in mid-December hundreds of workers contracted food poisoning. More than 150 were hospitalized. That outbreak spurred workers to strike, once again shining a spotlight on conditions for the tens of thousands of factory staff hired across India to churn out devices that include smartphones and computers. When Apple investigated, it found that not only did food sanitation fail to meet expectations, but employee dormitories were also below par.

Jan. 12, 2022 at 11.25 AM:  Government of India must think how the money is counted in USA, with no physical counting, as is the method used in Devasthanams and religious places in India. In India at several places people assemble for counting the money in Rupees and coins change methodically, and am surprised several people sit down and count the money of coins and the rupee notes. This is mundane process and invariably the money is swindled by the counting people.
In America, visit by courtesy of Late sister Dr. Rama Leela, M.B.B,S, D. G.O,  I found in the years 1988, that money is counted by machines that report if excess amount is deposited, and I found that several times I was cautioned to deposit the requisite amount, in places like the railway stations etc. When I found that excess amount is deposited , I found that they return the excess amount, warning me to be alert. I was wonder struck by the system and Government of India must co-operate with the people and machines that count and operate at the various organizations.
It is high time that India should dispense with Manual Counting of coins and money notes. I find at Temples and at other resorts, the people sit down and count the money, a practice should be avoided and this man-made counting should be dipensed with immediately.
Can we not progress?> Adopt the US method of counting money and the coins.

Dec. 22, 2021: Earth's Spinning Faster Than 50 Years Ago, Will Spin Even Faster Warn Scientists. Monit Khanna  1 hour ago. Each day on Earth consists of 86,400 seconds, but this isn't exactly all the time. Sometimes, over the course of a year the speed increases or decreases, resulting in the addition of a second or two, more or less. This is affected by various factors -- the core of the planet, the oceans, the pull of the moon as well as the atmosphere. To accurately measure time, scientists made use of atomic clocks that kept time based on how electrons in caesium atoms fall from a high-energy, excited state back to normal. Atomic clocks aren’t affected by external changes like temperature shifts like regular clocks. However, over the years, scientists noticed that even the most accurate atomic clocks were shifting from the actual time it took for Earth to complete the rotation. According to Judah Levine, a physicist in the time and frequency division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, to prevent this difference from becoming too big, in 1972, scientists decided to add leap seconds to atomic clocks.

This, it said, would enable the SSBN to carry eight K-4 submarine launched ballistic missile missiles (SLBM), or alternately 24 K-15 SLBMs with respective strike ranges of 3,500 km and 750 km, respectively. The K-4 SLBM, however, remains under development and its pontoon launch is anticipated.

Her biodata and personal details I have listed in the trusciencetrutechnology@blogspot.com.  She told me that the Meteorides that fall on the Earth carry with them the human life ingrediants. Recent find of water and other earthly elements in distant objects reported by Japanese object 25143 Itokawa asteroid has shown that the object had both extraterrestrial water and organic material and also Americans findings were thrilling. When her son Dr K V N Rao (Ill) had been to USA, she expected a possible trip to visit USA (not materialized) and always observed the 4th July, the day of US independence.
