ABSTRACT

When a CO2 gas bubbled through a mixture of MgO in Methanol, at three times the normal atmospheric pressure and allowed to react for a week end, they found a gel formed.  When heated to 70oC the gel solidified and collapsed into a white and coarse powder the Upsalite (after the University of Uppsala) formed which has many industrial applications. On 8th October throughout the day it was cloudy but in the evening Moon visible near to planet Venus in spite of passing rainy clouds. Photos obtained by the author of the celestial event. Nearness of the Moon to the planet Venus is amazing in the cloudy sky with no other stars quite visible to the naked eye. The heavy downpour of rain on the evening around 5h15mPM of 9 October 2013 was due to the Earth Tremors that have occurred on Tuesday October 8, 2013 early morning around 3h30m AM for a few seconds. Surprisingly the similar onset of rain was there at Amarkantak where my sister Dr Lalitha Kumari is performing the Devi Navarathri Pujas. This shows that Earth Tremor initiated rains have down poured, after about 38hour gap. This possibly is the time for the debris of Earth Tremor to reach the heights of the Atmosphere and their spread out resulted in the formation of heavy water clouds of “unusual nature” that caused the heavy downpour for about one and half hours in India. Subsequently there were two spells of rain showers in Andhra, with the second spell flavored by thunder and lightning. First comet material embedded in Sahara desert of 28 million years ago in Egypt discovered as a mysterious “black pebble”. Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun had a scratch broach made from yellow silica glass created by comets explosion into sand that heated it to 2000C and left behind the black pebble. With the eye still developing and fetus confined to “dark” and crowded space in the womb picks up the sound amazingly from external world, from India epic accounts.

INTRODUCTION

The political parties have forced a strike closure of all establishments and transport in Visakhapatnam on the 4 October 2013 and declared three days strike. Power supply has been cut in the mornings in Visakhapatnam for the three days of 7, 8 and 9 of October a sequel to strike. The strike ended by 13th of this month and normalcy returned in the state of Andhra.

An Optical Switch Based On a Single Nano-Diamond

Oct. 15, 2013”: A recent study led by researchers of the ICFO (Institute of Photonic Sciences) demonstrates that a single nano-diamond can be operated as an ultrafast single-emitter optical switch operating at room temperature. The scientific results of this study have been published in Nature Physics.  The much sought after optical transistor (the photonic counterpart of the electronic transistor) is poised to become a central ingredient in the development of optical signal processing. However in this recent ICFO study, scientists have shown that a nano-size diamond at room temperature can act as an efficient optical switch controllable with light. A Nano-diamond containing a nitrogen impurity behaves like an artificial atom although much more stable at room temperature than a real atom due to its encapsulation. The ICFO scientists discovered a novel physical mechanism that enables the control of the way the nano-diamond interacts with light. While excited to its ON state by a green laser, a suitable near infrared illumination was found to act as an efficient and fast way to switch it OFF. They were able to modulate the optical nano-diamond ON and OFF at extremely high speeds, demonstrating its robustness and viability for very fast information processing and quantum computer operations at room temperature.

100 gigabits of data per second

In their record experiment, 100 gigabits of data per second were transmitted at a frequency of 237.5 GHz over a distance of 20 m in the laboratory. In previous field experiments under the "Millilink" project funded by the BMBF, rates of 40 gigabits per second and transmission distances of more than 1 km were reached. For their latest world record, the scientists applied a photonic method to generate the radio signals at the transmitter. After radio transmission, fully integrated electronic circuits were used in the receiver.

Bending World's Thinnest Glass Shows Atoms' Dance and
Atom-by-atom designs for stronger glass panes

Oct. 15, 2013, the one-molecule-thick glass, discovered by Cornell researchers and their international team of collaborators, was recently featured in the Guinness Book of World Records and is made of the same compounds as everyday windowpanes. An electron microscope used to bend, deform and melt the glass. Just before glass shatters, and for the first time, the researchers have directly imaged such deformations and the resulting "dance" of rearranging atoms in silica glass. This newest work is published Oct. 11 in the journal Science. Glass is known as an amorphous solid because its atoms are rigid like a crystal but disordered like a liquid. "This thinnest-ever glass gives us a new way of looking at glass and how it breaks, atom by atom," Huang said. Said Muller "No one has ever before been able to see how the atoms in a glass rearrange when you push on them." The researchers imaged the thin glass with a transmission electron microscope. The researchers shot a beam of high-energy electrons at the glass, causing visible structural deformation, these electrons  "tickled" into the glass in order to deform it and simultaneously image what was happening, and found that the atoms wiggling and jiggling around with this new, ultrathin glass. Parts of the glass melted under the electron beam, forming sets of moving boundaries between solid and molten glass.  These insights may eventually lead to atom-by-atom designs for stronger glass panes or more robust transistors. The video taken via electron microscopy shows atoms shearing apart is available here:
http://www.news.cornell.edu/stories/2013/10/bending-worlds-thinnest-glass-shows-atoms-dance The colors indicate four regions that behave differently. Contributions of Late Prof K R Rao, (1919-1945) to the advent of Atomic Spectroscopy seems to give guidance to the designs of stronger glass panes.

Nonlinear crystal of ß-barium borate

Dmitry Kalashnikov and co-workers have fully plotted the correlations of SPDC-generated photons by carefully tailoring the properties of a nonlinear crystal of ß-barium borate and the parameters of the ultrafast laser exciting it. The frequency of the signal photon was fixed and scanned the frequency of the idler photon to find the maximum correlation between the two. The maximum of the correlation is reached at two distinct frequencies. This unusual ‘double-peak’ structure occurs only under certain conditions, when the crystal is thick enough (5 millimeters) and the exciting laser pulse length is short (less than 110femto-seconds. The effect is harmful as it decreases the quality of entanglement attention to be paid when constructing their quantum optics setups and devices in the future.

SUNSET COLORS OF SKY

It is observed that the colors of the sky during the Sun set at Visakhapatnam has a mixed components of the bizarre atmosphere dubbed with the emissions of the Industrial City. The Sun set has a remarkable change during the evening hours before the Sun set and practically every 10 minutes or so and in all possible directions of the Visakhapatnam sky exhibits a rich variety of display of Sky colors. The evenings during the season of rainy days, this year in month of September and October 2013, the richness in the vivid colors of the Sun set were observed and the uniformity indicated in the picture given by Stockphoto/Michael Valdezin Science Daily November 15, 2007 doesn’t hold good at the various times of the Sun set at Visakhapatnam. Sun set exhibits a wide variety of colors can easily picked by the sensitive human eye undoubtedly yellow, orange and red are dominant but with the exhausts of the industrial town like Visakhapatnam the colors are plentiful on different times in the Sun Set duration. The atmospheric constituents of the Industrial city offers a richness of colors in spite that the red color has long path and may not be able to block all the other colors. Cloudy evenings add a lot to the phenomenon of richness in colors by upward scattering i.e. easily visible to the naked eye as one walks along the beach road at Visakhapatnam. Size of particles and the wavelengths do play a tremendous role, especially of the exhaust gases and other fumes from the Industrial City. The Visakhapatnam city offers a unique opportunity for the careful eye observations, as has been made over centuries by humans dwelling this part of the Sacred Land.

PLANET AND MOON ON 8 Oct 2013
On 8th Oct 2013 throughout the day it was cloudy but in the evening Crescent Moon visible near to planet Venus, around 6h40m PM, gave a splendid view of the Visakhapatnam in spite of passing rainy clouds. Nearness of the Moon to the planet Venus is amazing in the cloudy sky with no other stars quite visible to the naked eye.

UPASALITE

A dry, powdered and highly absorbent form of MgCO3 (PLoS ONE, 17 July 2013) was discovered by Uppsala Scientists. When a CO2 gas bubbled through a mixture of MgO in Methanol, at three times the normal atmospheric pressure and allowed to react for a week end, they found a gel formed. When heated to 70o deg.C the gel solidified and collapsed into a white and coarse powder the Upsalite (after the University of Uppsala) formed. It has many industrial applications.

RAIN

The first of October 2013 at Visakhapatnam started with a cloudy sky with no Sun visible at 8h27mAM. The rain stopped from the afternoon of 1 October 2013 and full sun shine glared in the morning of October 2nd Gandhi Jayanti day at Visakhapatnam.

There is continuous rain on the morning of 3 October 2013 at Visakhapatnam with no Sun visible at all till 9AM. For a short while there was Sunshine around 9h30m to 10AM but then clouds covered sky and there was rain with no thunder.

It rained heavily on the morning of 4 October 2013 but Sun shine gleaned around 10AM. The rain and sunshine thrilled the people at Visakhapatnam on the 4th. On the 5th morning there was good Sun light but by 9AM the rainy clouds covered the sky. The days of 6th and 7th the sky was cloudy in Visakhapatnam and on 7th total day there was a power cut due to the local state claim strike.

The night of 8 October and early morning of 9 October there was extensive rain but with no thunder or lightning.

On 10 October throughout the day there was full Sun shine and luckily with no much heat.

The cyclonic storm named “Py-lin” looms North Andhra and Odisha Coast due to deep depression in North Andaman Sea. It is centered about 1100km away from Visakhapatnam coast expected to reach coat at Kalingapatnam and Paradip ports, by October 12 night. A very severe cyclonic storm with wind speed of 175-200 kmph might hit the Coast.

The evening of 11 October 2013 there was a drizzle of rain during the evening hours around 8PM.

After about two days of intense Sun light today i.e. on 21 October 2013 it rained lightly at about 1030AM hardly for an hour and sky overcast with rainy clouds. The 22nd throughout the day it was raining continuously and it continued on the 23rd also except for a slight Sun shine for hardly an half hour in the morning around 10AM. The days have become chilly and it became necessary to wear protecting clothes from the cold weather.

Theoretical Physicists Differ

“Theoretical physicists differ on whether true repulsion (reversal of the attraction from positive to negative) can ever be achieved. However, the study could change scientists' understanding of electromagnetism and lead to the creation of surfaces with less friction. The reduced attraction was measured using a metal-coated sphere attached to an oscillator mounted above two electrodes. A metallic, nano-structured grating was attached to an optical fiber, and the interaction occurred as the sphere and grating were moved closer to one another. The experiment revealed the Casimir pressure was reduced at more than twice the expected levels when the sphere and the grating surface were separated from one another by up to 500 nano-meters. This recent study, published online on Sept. 27 in the Nature Communications, breaks new ground in the standard measurements of the Casimir effect known to Scientists. The experiment used nano-structured (micro-ridged) metallic plates to suppress the force to a much lower rate than ever recorded previously, said Ricardo Decca, Ph.D., Professor of Physics at IUPUI.”

NOBEL AWARD 2013

The Britain Peter Higgs  and Belgium Francois Englert Physicists have been recognized for the Nobel Prize this year to the tune of Rs. 7.73crores (about 8 Million Swedish Kroners) award to be given on 10 December in Stockholm by the Swedish Crown. Due to the Higgs Bosons only, all particles are able to acquire their mass, is what is understood from this discovery, assisted by another six scientists in 1964 as well who were the coworkers with Higgs. Invisible field of the Universe possess these Higgs bosons. A thorough look into Physics of Elementary Particles envisages that the new particles of different masses attributed to Higgs field, which is an invisible field of energy pervading the Universe.

COXING LIGHT

“Scientists from the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology of the UT, FOM and the Institute for Nanoscience and Cryogenics (CEA/INAC) in France has shown that a light source can be coaxed to emit light at a desired moment in time, within an ultrashort burst. The superfast switching of a light source has applications in fast stroboscopes without laser speckle, in the precise control of quantum systems and for ultra-secure communication using quantum cryptography. Usually, an elementary light source, such as an excited atom or molecule, emits light of a particular color at an unpredictable instance in time.”

Nuclear Phase Diagram

This diagram maps out the different phases of nuclear matter physicists expect to exist at a range of high temperatures and densities, but the lines on this map are just a guess. Experiments have detected fluctuations in particle production that hint at where the lines might be supercomputing calculations are helping to pin down the data points so scientists can make a more accurate map of the transition from the hadrons that make up ordinary atomic nuclei to the quark-gluon plasma of the early universe. The Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory (RHIC) sits in the "sweet spot" for studying this transition and for detecting a possible critical point (yellow dot) at which the transition changes from continuous to discontinuous. SOLAR POWER ADDED TO GRID

The Heritage Foods Ltd added to the electric grid, a solar power generation on September 29, 2013 generated in Medak District nearly about 4 million watts of power.
SOLAR PANELS & ALUMININUM STUDS.

The use of Al that absorbs light in UV part, but helps scattering in visible and near infra red, help solar panels extract more energy from sunlight. The light receiving surface of gallium-arsenide with aluminum nano-cylinders brought the cost in India to Rs.7/kWh of the solar panels n 2013 competing with price of Rs.4/kWh thermal power.

NORTH ANDMAN CYCLONE

The low depression formed in North Andaman resulted on Tuesday October 8, 2013 as a cyclonic storm and is found located at a distance of 1150 km from Visakhapatnam. Coastal Andhra would be affected in the next 24 hours with heavy cyclonic storms was the prediction.

The evening of 9 October there was a heavy rain from 5h30mPM to 7h30mPM with heavy cloud coverage of Visakhapatnam city. It is not quite clear whether it is due to this intense depression. It’s clear since the Sileru in Visakhapatnam district had an Earth Tremor on Tuesday morning around 3h30mAM. The rain on 9th was just a local affair.

It has nothing to do with onset of stormy weather due to “Pylon” storm   lashed Odisha on 11th that developed on 13th and 14th over the Odisha Coast and moved on also to Amarkantak, the place of the origin of Narmada River.

Date &Time              Lat/Long       Maximum surface wind speed
11102013/11h30m  16.6/87.5        160-170kmph gusting to 185kmph
11102013/23h30m  17.4/86.3        170-180kmph gusting to 200kmph
12102013/11h30m  18.5/85.4        175-185kmph gusting to 200kmph
12102013/23h30m  19.9/84.7        175-185kmph gusting to 200kmph
13102013/11h30m  20.6/84.6        75-85kmph gusting to 95kmph
13102013/23h30m  22.0/84.2        50-60kmph gusting to 70kmph

At Amarkantak it rained heavily as reported by Dr. Lalitha Kumari, from 10th to 14th sequel to the heavy Toofan (cyclonic weather) from the East.

The Chepalauppada, v.s. kalinga coast carved by recent toofan nearly for about 100meters sea shore moved on to land. Small hillock remains as an obstacle if that gets damaged, then the Sea would move on to the v.s.kalinga and surrounding places, the people are afraid.

From 13th to 18th the Visakhapatnam experienced hot weather with full blown Sun light. On 16 October 2013 the Sky displayed various hues of the Blue color in the evening.

As a contrast the Fig.9a and Fig.9b display the rising Sun with its splendid red glow on the 18 October 2013. Fig.10b shows on the 17 Oct at 6h17m PM Venus as a green Ball and the Moon as splendid white ball surrounded by the Blue Color of the water vapor.

DOUBLE CYCLONE

On 21 October 2013 the Sun was bright in the morning at 6h33mAM the Fig.10c shows the spectral display of the Sun Rays (Photo0896).  But it started rain around 10h30mAM and with the thunder again around 1h09m in the noon.

Fig.12a Rainfall on 23 October 2013 with double cyclone system

Fig.12b Temperatures maxima and minima on 23 Oct 2013

Fig.12a, Fig.12b and Fig.12c present the details of the rainfall on the 23 October 2013 tables given.

Fig.12c depicts the double cyclone system over the southern peninsula of India on
23 October 2013 that gave immense downpour continuous with no lightning or thunders on the days beginning 21st around 10AM to 25 October 2013.

The double cyclones not interacting but separately moved over southern India coast was a fascinating event. It brought heavy rain Visakhapatnam for the four days from 21st to 24th of October 2013 [Ref.1, 2, 3 listed below].  This is unlike the previous event of interacting double cyclones.

Fascinatingly the double cyclones have moved to merge over the land [Fig.12d] on the 24th October 2013 (picture at 11h30mAM and data at 8h30mAM) and this resulted in a sudden afresh rain, after a short spell of relief at Visakhapatnam, during the 24th day time. The moon picture taken around 12h47mAM on 25th October 2013 is quite interesting due to the passing of new clouds.

Fig.12d Double Cyclone merged closely on the 24th Oct 2013 IMG_1684

It rained heavily on the night from 1h30mAM and the following day 25th morning hours till 8AM, the rain battered again with same style of a steady downpour. The merger of the two cyclones is really phenomenal and heavy flooding of the crop fields, left farmers totally bewildered, of the Earthly Event. The rain stopped around 8h30mAM on 25th morning hours. Calingapatnam and Ongole received maximum rain fall of this merger respectively about 320mm and 315mm followed by Vizag 101mm, Bapatla 122mm and Kakinada 203mm of rain fall.

After a spell of no rain from 8AM, the rain fall of Friday October 25th morning around 10AM resulted in thunders and lightning that was not observed earlier cyclonic rain from 21st to 24th of this month. This suggests that the present spell of rain is due to a second set of clouds that swirled over to Andhra Region from the lower North India. What caused the push is not clear, but famous pilgrim center of India, Kasi Town in North India, as reported by Dr. Lalitha Kumari, was full of blazing Sun till 6h30mPM. The INSAT picture of 24th October 2013 clearly shows the movement of the upper cyclone cloud system to lower regions of Andhra State. This move gave heavy rain on the 25th morning at Visakhapatnam from 10hAM to 3PM afternoon.

The Fig.12e depicts the Moon view on the morning of 25th October 2013
at 12h47m AM with passing clouds just before the shattering
in flow of a fresh rain showers at Visakhapatnam

The rain started during the night around 12 O’ Clock and continued vigorously till 12h27m AM of 26 October 2013. Whole Day from 1PM to next day morning the rain battered Visakhapatnam, and next morning there was heavy rain on 27 October 2013.  Fig.12e contrasted with Fig.12d, depicts the Storm scenario with fresh move of clouds over AP in upward direction to central India, with influx of new clouds from North Bengal side.

Fig.12f shows the influx from the West Bengal on to Andhra but the cyclone shifted upward to central India on the west.

The Nellore and Kavali had very little rain with the rest of Andhra with back slash of downpours.

SUNLIGHT AND WATER VAPOR BEFORE DEEPAVALI

The 27 October 2013 the whole day was very cloudy but with no rain it was a solace to people, who got fed up with the six days, nonstop rain. Before, Deepavali lamp and fireworks festival, it is common to have rain in Visakhapatnam, luckily it gave a break, just for two or three days, before the Deepavali festival which falls, on Sunday 3rd November 2013. There is a good Sun light throughout the day on 28 Oct 2013, a great relief from the onset of heavy rains on the previous six days. The 29 October began with no rain and good Sun light. What surprised me is the fact that the Sun light, has no its usually intensity of heat conditions, since the entire Andhra where it rained is extremely damp and the atmosphere full of water vapor. 30 October full of Sun Light and a blazing weather. The cool atmosphere has changed.

The day 31st October 2013 began, with cloudy weather that persisted throughout the day, as expected before the DEEPAVALI festival on Sunday 3rd November 2013.

SEVERE CYCLONE OF 200mph winds & its History!

A severe cyclone expected to strike the land on Saturday night but the winds have already blown at Visakhapatnam at 3h03mPM on Friday 11 October 2013. It originated in China Sea, dwindled near Thailand but developed and on 7th Tenaseerm turned out to be a low pressure depression. Later entered the North Andaman area in Bay of Bengal and on 8th turned as wind circulation of intense cyclone. Upper portion of Sea was at 28degrees and combined with winds and moisture formed as a vertical Wind Shear Cyclone.  The “Py-lin” Toofan reached the shore of India after six days travelling a distance of 1800kms. Atmospheric conditions in Bay of Bengal supported the formation of the deadly typhoon after nearly a lapse of 23 years. Surprisingly it didn’t affect the city of Visakhapatnam except for thrashing ocean waves near the shore on the parapet boundary walls. But from Visakhapatnam to the origin of Narmada River at Amarkantak the rain has engulfed with severe winds of 200mph especially at Odisha state. People are saved by moving them to shelter roofs.

The Sun shine prevailed in Visakhapatnam from 9th onwards. On 16th October 2013 at 3h04mPM the Sun shine showed different shades of blue captured in the Fig.8 listed.

Sileru Earth Tremors- Heavy Rain

In Visakha Zillah on Tuesday October 8, 2013 early morning around 3h30mAM for a few seconds, the Earth Tremors have occurred. The local people ran out of their houses and said a big sound was heard deep within the Earth. Heavy Cupboards in the houses and other vessels have moved due to the Earth Tremor.

The unusual cyclonic weather resulted in heavy rain of intense thick clouds of intense nature in Visakhapatnam on evening of 9 October there was a heavy unusual rain from 5h15mPM  to 7h30mPM similar was the phenomenon at Amarkantak (where my sister Dr. Lalitha Kumari is visiting the temples) also in spite that there was sun light throughout the day time. Obviously the Earth Quake occurrence in Sileru area and the fall of unusual heavy rain in Visakhapatnam and as well in Amarkantak have a direct link.

The heavy downpour of rain on the evening around 5h15mPM of 9 October 2013 was due to the Earth Tremors that have occurred on Tuesday October 8, 2013 early morning around 3h30mAM for a few seconds. Surprisingly the similar onset of rain was there at Amarkantak, where my sister Dr Lalitha Kumari is performing the Devi Navarathri Pujas. This shows that Earth Tremor initiated rains have down poured after about 38hour gap. This possibly is the time for the debris of Earth Tremor to reach the heights of the Atmosphere and their spread out resulted in the formation of heavy water clouds of “unusual nature” that caused the heavy downpour for about one and half hours in India. The heavy cloud of the downpour was noticed of unusual characteristics of thickness and the day has become completely darkened with the onset of these clouds.

Fig.11 shows the sink and roof of Stair case affected by the Earth Tremor of 8th October 2013 resulting in a severe damage to the old rugged house. Small chunk loosened from the pavement of stair case of cemented portion fell down bottom on to sink, luckily with no damage to the sink.

Great Wall of Philippines

A deadly Earth Quake of magnitude 7.1R that struck Philippines  in second week of October 2013 created a spectacular wall, astounding Geologists,  in the village of Anonang, Imabanga town, Bohol province that stretched over kilometers, through farm lands, of height around three feet. There exists a huge crack next to the wall.

Quake Tsunami in Japan

The 7.1 R Earth Quake struck at shallow depth of 10km at 17h10m GMT on Friday 25 Oct just over 300km southeast of Ishinomaki in Miyagi Prefecture crippled Fukushima nuclear plant with a undersea quake on Saturday. Tsunami it was 55cm in one place and rolled ashore.

Goddess of Learning in India

On Thursday 10 October 2013 the Vijayawada Devi temple, on Aswyuja Sudha Sasthi day in Vijayanam year, celebrated as the Sri Saraswathi Devi (Goddess of Learning) with her birth star as Moola Star born in the afternoon. The sloka (poem) is
Aaruda swetha hanse pramthicha jagane dakshinachksha sutram,
Aa veenam vaadayaothim swakar kar japaeha shastra vijyan shabdha ha,
Vama haste cha divya’ombara kankamayam pustakam jana gamyaa,

FESTIVAL TRIP

Dr. Lalitha Kumari to return Visakhapatnam by 29th evening around 4PM by Visakha express train from the Bhubaneswar town, where she changed from a superfast express from Varanasi, around 7h30m. Her trip was totally festival devoted and she had been to Amarkantak on 4th, where she stayed from 5th to 17th and later shifted to Varanasi. She went round the city visiting all possible Temples and divine places like the Ganga River Ghats. She performed lot of worship at these places. She for my sake collected a few Photos and Picture Cards etc. I presume I shall be able to present a separate blog-post of mine describing her devotional visit in month of November 2013.

COMET MATERIAL FOUND ON EARTH

First comet material embedded in Sahara desert of 28 million years ago in Egypt discovered as a mysterious “black pebble”. Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun had a scratch broach made from yellow silica glass created by comets explosion into sand that heated it to 2000C and left behind the black pebble. 12 October 2013: Upmaka Temple

Much devoted Upmaka temple of erstwhile Vaddadi Family members of Vaddadi Village near Upmaka Hill Temple at Nakkapalem, Visakhapatnam, celebrated on Saturday Oct. 12 2013 the Special Puja of Lord Venketeswara. A special devotee was late Mrs. Kotcherlakota Peramma Rangadhama Rao who hails from Vaddadi Village. Late Mrs. Peramma Rangadhama Rao strongly believed that two lady incarnations resided there, who were visiting the old Kotcherlakota house near Mahalakshmi Temple, as incarnations on Mrs. Ramayyama Garu (mother of Late Prof K. R. Rao) and many visitors to her, of her divine powers of healing, mentioned about this episode. Family members of late Mrs. Peramma Garu Mrs. Ramaleela, Dr. Lalitha and myself etc, have paid visit to this temple during 1998 or so. The Official Pujari there now is Sri Prasadacharyulu.

13 October 2013: MFC or PEC

Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) full of microbes and another part Photo electro chemical cell (PEC) arranged equipment that uses Sunlight, designed by University of California Scientists cleans the dirt water and gives out the desired Hydrogen Releasing Cell. Waste water material contained carbon material is broken out by MFC bacteria, to produce some electricity. When, this electricity reaches PEC to electro-split the water into Oxygen and Hydrogen. Thus both MFC and PEC individually or separately may be used to produce Hydrogen.  (News 13 Oct 2013)

PALAPITTA BIRD

In Navarathri celebrations in India, the bird known as Palapitta, appearance is regarded as a sign of success of good from bad events. VEGETABLE DERIVED

Vegetables contain the compound, the indole-3-carbinol, broken down later in stomach to DIM (3, 3’ – diindolyl-methane) both being studied to know about their cancer prevention properties.

Fetuses Learn

Of the five senses it is sound that has been mentioned in Puranic and Vedas emphasizing the fact that living organism can pick up in the womb itself certain words, a current report in September 10th, 2013 issue of PNAS (USA) validates it. The publication states that the brain in the womb responds records and remembers certain words. With the eye still developing and fetus confined to “dark” and crowded space in the womb picks up the sound amazingly from external world. Neuronal connections (synapses) respond to the outside sound and analyzing them to record complex information. Baby uttering sounds in the womb need to be recorded, usually after the 27th week of gestation. Abimanyu in Mahabharata, before the sleep of his mother Subhadra, could in the womb remember the “chakravyuha” entry as told by Sri Krishna, but alas since his mother slept, he couldn’t pick up the strategy to come out of it.

GM TOBACCO PLANTS – BIOFUEL

The tobacco leaves by 700% starch and fermentable sugars by 500% increase helped Scientists to use them as alternative to produce bio-fuels.

700million years of age galaxy

The new galaxy named z8-GND-5296 is forming very rapidly producing each year about 300 times of our Sun while the Milky Way forms only two to three stars per year.

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

Taking the nucleus of a lady with defective mitochondria, devoid of nuclear material, and transferring it to egg cell of another lady, results in the hybrid egg now fertilized in vitro, using the sperm (genetic material of father) from father to be, through conventional methods of IVF. Three parent babies now is reality in UK. Mitochondria are simply the powerhouses. Mitochondrial defects such as heart diseases and liver problems, from mother can be avoided by donation of mitochondria from a healthy lady. Thus human cloning is avoided.

MARS MISSION OF INDIA

ISRO’s models benchmarked by Jet Propulsion Laboratory, helps to launch on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 Maras Orbiter Mission, from Sriharikota. PSLV leaves the space craft in an elliptic orbit 250km at closest and 23500km farthest. On board engines will be fired five times estimating each time the velocity needed to put the vehicle in next orbit. Sixth firing scheduled for firing on 30 November 2013, with arrival near Mars on September 21st, 2014, needs a precision of 50 km.

CONCLUSIONS

Size of particles and the wavelengths do play a tremendous role, especially of the exhaust gases and other fumes from the Industrial City. The Visakhapatnam city offers a unique opportunity for the careful eye observations, as has been made over centuries by humans dwelling this part of the Sacred Land. Obviously the Earth Quake occurrence in Sileru area and the fall of unusual heavy rain in Visakhapatnam on 9th evening and as well in Amarkantak have a direct link. This was followed by a severe cyclonic storm from 11th to 14th of this month in Odisha state and near Amarkantak of the North India. With the eye still developing and fetus confined to “dark” and crowded space in the womb picks up the sound from external world.
