A sharp flash of radio waves from a mysterious source up to 5.5 billion light years from the Earth detected. Bombs were detonated at the rate of one every 9.6 days until 1988. Earth crossed four out of nine planetary boundaries, such as climate change, loss of biosphere integrity, land systems change, altered biogeochemical cycles (phosphorus and nitrogen) and these transgressions led to destabilization of global environment. Light rains Wednesday 21st lashed most of the places in Punjab and Haryana, intensifying the cold wave conditions in both the states. Since 22nd and 23rd January the hot weather has picked up in Visakhapatnam. January 24th morning Gravity Waves were observed at Visakhapatnam sequel to changes of weather worldwide. World over water levels are increasing at an alarming rate. January 25th, 26th and 27th President of USA Barack Obama visited India with the first Lady of USA and observed the Republic Day Parade of India along with the President of India. Modi and I are interested in smart regulation.  His visit was cut short, in India to visit a foreign country. The author, finds that the Dark Matter has a stint of very many colors of the EM spectrum concealed, a feature not projected to-date by any Scientist. This constitutes a major breakthrough of the DARK MATTER and leads to enormous literature world over.

INTRODUCTION

Snow has covered upland areas of Tabuk province near Saudi Arabia's border with Jordan for the third consecutive year as cold weather swept across the Middle East. Harsh winter conditions in the Middle East have made life a misery for millions of people, and children suffering.

January 16, 2015: NASA

The year 2014 ranks as Earth's warmest since 1880, according to two separate analyses by NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientists. The 10 warmest years in the instrumental record, with the exception of 1998, have now occurred since 2000. This trend continues a long-term warming of the planet, according to an analysis of surface temperature measurements. Earth’s average temperature was 58.32 0F(14.680C) in the year 2014.

Researchers have successfully demonstrated how to both enhance light emission and capture light from metamaterials embedded with light emitting nano-crystals. The breakthrough could lead to a range of applications including ultrafast LEDs, nano-scale lasers and efficient single photon sources.

The quest to see China’s extraordinary frozen fog:
15 January 2015

From late November to early March, dazzlingly white ice crystals form on the trees along the city’s Songhua River. Giving trees the appearance that they’ve been carefully dusted with sugar, these crystals form only when fog freezes.  When fog forms below 00C, its super-cooled water droplets remain liquid, even though the temperature is below freezing. But as soon as the droplets brush something solid such as a tree branch, they freeze instantly. Tiny ice granules build up, growing into feathery white forms known as rime.  For rime to occur, it needs a combination of cold climate, sufficient airborne moisture and clear skies overhead. Typically this happens in the interior of large continents, in a protected river valley or on mountain slopes shrouded in mist. Located at a latitude of 44 degrees north and some 350km inland, Jilin’s geography is ideal for the formation of rime. Despite air temperatures sometimes dipping as low as -320C, a hydropower dam on the city’s river keeps the water flowing, which in turn encourages the creation of milky white freezing fog.

COLD WEATHER NORTH INDIA
Jan 16 (ANI): Cold wave unabated in North, toll crosses 200 in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow/ Srinagar/ Jaipur : Jan 16, 2015, DHNS:  Northern India continues to reel under cold weather conditions. Normal life has been disrupted in many northern states due to thick fog and extreme cold. Dense fog has been reported in most of Northern India which directly affected several train and flight services. People were seen sitting near bonfires to keep themselves warm. The sudden dip in temperatures is said to have been caused by snowfall in upper regions of northern India and has adversely impacted the upper half of the country. Temperature in hill town of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh has dropped below zero degree due to the snowfall. Snowfall in states like Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh has a direct impact in other northern states like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Tacloban (Philippines), Jan 17, 2015 (AFP)

Pope Francis was forced today to flee a fierce storm in the Philippines that killed a papal volunteer, cutting short a mercy mission to weeping survivors of a catastrophic super typhoon-ravaged central Philippine city of Tacloban.

Inspired by the golden ratio, mathematician Edmund Harriss discovered a delightful fractal curve that no one had ever drawn before. But it’s not just a pretty picture, it contains some lovely theory and brings the golden ratio into a family of perfect proportions.

NEWTON BIG g:

Newton predicted big g, but it wasn’t until 1798, 71 years after his death, that Henry Cavendish actually measured the thing. Cavendish’s figure for g was just a hair off of the currently accepted value of 6.693(34) × 10−11 m3s2/kg, the result of atom interferometer experiments done in 2007. Concept of Graviton has been radically changed and its association with Pion and a new Gamma has been presented. [SEE BELOW AUTHOR’S WORK].

Centre has identified 101 Rivers to be converted into water ways [Nitin Gadkari Minister of Road transport, highways and shipping] which are much cheaper mode of transport, Inland waterways comprising rivers, lakes, canals, creeks, backwaters etc. extend to about 14,500 km in the country. However, potential of this mode of transport has not been fully exploited so far. promote water transportation where transportation cost is barely 50paise a km in comparison to Re 1 by railways and Rs 1.5 a km through roads. National Waterways, include Ganga-Bhagirathi-Hooghly river system (Allahabad-Haldia-1620 km); river Brahmaputra (Dhubri-Sadiya-891 km); West Coast Canal (Kottapuram-Kollam) along with Udyogmandal and Champakara Canals-(205 km); Kakinada-Puducherry canals along with Godavari and Krishna rivers (1078 km) and East Coast Canal integrated with Brahmani river and Mahanadi delta rivers (588 km).

JSPL TECH FOR HARVARD : News Dt.19 Jan 2015.

Harvard University Scientists and students visited, during a three day trip to India,  Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., coal based pollution free sponge iron and steel-making facilities at ANGUL. First, to create the energy efficient and environment friendly production of steel for Direct Reduced Iron adopting the route CGP and DRI [produces cold/hot gas] uses synthesis gas (Syn Gas) from CGP. It uses locally available abundant high-ash content coal, for the first time in the world, to make steel devoid of imported coking coal. Coal gasification has immense potential, first time in world, for countries like India.

ICEBERG FLIP LAST MONTH

The reverse side of a iceberg revealed a translucent blue that’s completely free of snow and debris, colossal Ice contains air bubbles that diffuse all color wavelengths in the same amount, making the ice look white. Most icebergs are below the surface and a flip is extremely rare event. Flips may cause even tsunamis.

El Nino, a warming of sea-surface temperatures in the Pacific  can prompt drought in Southeast Asia and Australia and heavy rains in South America, hitting production of food such as rice, wheat and sugar.

RECORD WARMTH

Record warmth was spread around the world. The globally averaged temperature over land and ocean surfaces for 2014 was the highest among all years since record keeping began in 1880. The 10 hottest years recorded have all occurred since the year 2000. The 2014 record, said the agencies, was driven by the world ocean, the planet’s great repository of heat. Temperatures at the sea surface have never been hotter than in 2014, in recorded human history. Temperatures over land were not actually record breaking (although they were in some places, such as Britain), but the ocean’s warmth overwhelmed that.

BUDDHISTS RELICS IN NORTH ANDHRA.

News Dt.20th January: In Rakasimetta there exists a four terraced  stupa made of un-burnt bricks like those used in Mohenjo Daro. Sangameswara swamy temple in Chodavaram belongs to Matsya Period has acquisitively decorated pillars with inscriptions on them. In three districts of North Andhra lie hundreds of Buddhist relics unexplored, unexcavated and unprotected. They existed between 3rd BC to 3rd AC nearly for a period of 600years. In Gudivadakonda rock cut caves exist that were discovered recently. Most relics exist on hill tops.

WHY STARS FEAST AND  FAST

SGXT is a type of binary star revolving each other, but one partner is a big bright star and the other is a highly condensed dark companion, possibly a black hole or a neutron star, that attracts mass from the bright star. Varun Bhalerao of IUCAA, Pune, published in Monthly Notices of Royal Astronomical Society, suggested that feasting and fasting of actual star-pair IGR J1544-2619,  an example of SGXT, located at 12000 light years away from Earth, contains a super giant star 25 times the Sun and a compressed dead partner about twice the mass of Sun, but compressed to a diameter of 30kms, rotating in just 4.9 days about each other. One theory is that the large star gives out a clumpy wind, when it hits the dense star it glows. The other theory is that the dense star has a magnetic fie ld, serves as a barrier to the wind that would dam the wind, until the pressure builds up and breaks the dam, sudden fall of matter on the compact star would cause it to glow. During his Ph. D at Caltech he built NuStar detectors that are sensitive to Hard X-rays similar to x-rays used in Hospitals for diagnosis.

BOMBS DETONATED ONE EVERY 9.6 DAYS UNTIL 1988

Mid 20th century great acceleration of Atom Bombs spurred global average temperature by 0.90C. First bomb at Alamogordo on 16 July 1945, followed by two Atomic Bombs in August 1945 in Japan at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, released radioactive isotopes that spread over the worldwide and entered sedimentary rocks. Other bombs were detonated at the rate of one every 9.6 days until 1988. Earth crossed four out of nine planetary boundaries, such as climate change, loss of biosphere integrity, land systems change, altered biogeochemical cycles(phosphorus and nitrogen) and these transgressions led to destabilization of global environment.

Mysuru, Jan 21, 2015, DHNS:
Ancient tunnel unearthed in Mysuru

An ancient tunnel was discovered on Tuesday near Vishwamanava Park at Gun House circle in Mysuru. The tunnel was unearthed while laying new sewer drains. Since then curious people have been thronging to the spot. The tunnel, which is touted to be at least 150-years-old, is at least 5-5.5 feet in height and constructed using bricks and lime mortar. The members of Archaeology department could only walk inside the tunnel up to 10-15 feet from the entrance as mud, dirt and rocks are blocking the way further. However, they said that the tunnel was in good condition. It is to be seen, whether the tunnel connects to the Mysore Palace, which is just 500 meters from the Gun House circle.

A webcam in Mexico has captured the moment that the Colima volcano erupted violently. The blast happened at 9.13am Wednesday morning, local time. The Colima volcano is an active strato-volcano which has erupted several times over recent weeks. Footage shows an ash cloud shoot at least 13,000 feet from the volcano high into the air above the Colima vicinity. Local authorities have said there is not a risk to the population living in the area, which is in southwestern Mexico.

HOT WEATHER SET IN VISAKHAPATNAM

The 21st happens to be a very chilly morning and the Sun shine was moderate. Since 22nd January morning the hot weather has picked up in Visakhapatnam and people started wearing clothes without the overcoats etc.        The evening was not that much cold and the summer season has practically set in Visakhapatnam with evening Sun light extended to 6h15mPM on 22nd.

Scientists slow down speed of light H S Rao, London, Jan 23, 2015: PTI

A team of Scottish scientists has for the first time managed to slow down the speed of light as it travels through air, unimpeded by interactions with any other material, according to a new study. Scientists have long known that the speed of light can be slowed slightly as it travels through materials such as water or glass. They sent photons through a special mask, which changed the photons' shape, and slowed them to less than light speed. Over a distance of 1metre, the team measured a slowing of up to 20 wavelengths, many times greater than the measurement precision. This finding shows unambiguously that the propagation of light can be slowed below the commonly accepted figure of 299,792,458metres per second, even when travelling in air or vacuum. 'Spatially Structured Photons that Travel in Free Space Slower than the Speed of Light' published in Science Express.

NORTH TEMPERATURE RISE
Chandigarh yesterday recorded a maximum temperature of 22.50C, two degrees above normal. At most other places too, the day-time temperatures settled above normal level including at Ambala (21.20C), Hisar (20.20C), Karnal (210C), Ludhiana (20.40C), Patiala (20.20C) and Amritsar (19.90C). Meanwhile, minimum temperatures in the region today hovered close to normal level. Light rains Wednesday lashed most of the places in Punjab and Haryana, intensifying the cold wave conditions in both the states.

Gulf of Mexico
A moisture-loaded storm coming out of the Gulf of Mexico up the East Coast is likely to produce a period of moderate to heavy precipitation overnight, before tapering off Saturday 24th  Jan morning. Depending on where you live, you may experience rain, snow or a mix of precipitation.

SOLAR WIND

In the solar wind flowing past Earth, magnetic fields are tilting south. This is the kind of "negative polarity solar wind stream" that can produce intense polar auroras
Mercury/Venus Green Flash (close-up Version)

You've probably heard of the green flash, an emerald ray that briefly caps the sun as the solar disk sinks into the waves of a clear ocean horizon. Green flashes from the sun are so rare, they were once thought to be mythological. Now consider the following: a green flash from Venus. "I saw one," says photographer Kouji Ohnishi (who sends this picture from Nagano, Japan). Taken on January 13, 2015 at Sugadaira (altitude 1600m), Nagano, Japan.  We sometimes can see the green flash phenomenon at the Sunrise and Sunset. In Sugadaira, Highland of altitude 1600m, often, we can see the green flash at the Sunset. This time, I Kouji Ohnishi, was able to see the green flash at the moment of the Mercury-set and the Venus-set on the Mt. HODAKA (3190m).

VISAKHA EXHIBITION

It was not appealing to the author, who happened to visit on the 24th in the evening from 6 to 9h30mPM, since most of the exhibits are just for eating purpose and many hotels of Visakhapatnam have put up stalls with exorbitant prices not serving the common man or women. But, for the first time he noticed the  temple stalls of almost a dozen that offered no sanctity of divinity or worship and people just moved past the exhibits, as if they are solid displays. Exhibitions should be educative and not for just display of lights and cheap things for sale.

Comet Lovejoy (C/2014 Q2)

Receding Comet Lovejoy (C/2014 Q2) has faded a bit from its peak brightness earlier this month, but it is still a spectacular comet. Trace the tormented streamers of gas flowing from the comet's icy nucleus in this deep-sky exposure from astro-photographer Gerald Rhemann of Puchenstuben, Austria. The many kinks, eddies and whorls propagating down the tail are caused by an unknown combination of (1) variable activity in the comet's nucleus and (2) gusts of solar wind buffeting the streamers of emerging gas. Every time astronomers photograph the structure, it looks different. Indeed, this is one of the most dynamic comets in years. Shining like a star of magnitude 4.4, Comet Lovejoy is a difficult target for the naked eye,  comet is currently passing through the constellation Aries high in the evening sky.

STUDENT SATELLITES IN INDIA

January 24, 2015: Universities have to design, fabricate, test the satellite bus & payload and deliver the integrated space craft to the ISRO . Many universities such as Tamil Nadu based Sathyabhama University, Noorul Islam University, Pune University,  IIT Mumbai, and recently ANU at Ongole, and with a satellite data analysis and application centre are involved. The development of pay loads comprises of detectors, electronics, and associated algorithms on an experimental piggy-back, payloads on ISRO on going small or operational satellite projects. These nano-satellites study, climate, weather, sea erosion, and ground water tables. This is an R&D activity in several educational institutions all over the world.

Water levels have also suddenly increased due to the no-moon day. Same was the case on the 25th also!. World over water levels are increasing at an alarming rate, my friend of LINAC, SAMEER, S. S. Bhide from Mumbai cites the example of back waters of New Mumbai how they have enormously increased.

MONKEY Homes OF DELHI

The Monkey population in Delhi is enormous and the visits by outsiders is precarious due to this menace. Modern times the population need to be reduced and controlled in safe enclosures for the onlookers. Respects to these beasts and Godly representatives needs  separate, Secluded houses that should be a part of development plan all over India. With immediate creation of Monkey Homes all over India.  Visitors like the US President Barack Obama need to be organized in the city and in India with proper appreciation. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA VISIT TO INDIA

It was a splendid visit and his participation in the Republic Day of India was a tremendous gesture of the second largest democracy of the world. Chilly weather and slight rain has not disrupted the major event. Today's High was 15°C at 13:00 when conditions were Fog. Rain fails to dampen spirits at Republic Day parade as Barack Obama becomes the first US president to attend the spectacular military and cultural display in a sign of the nation growing closeness.

N-deal dominates US media coverage of Obama's India trip

 Washington, Jan 26, 2015 (PTI)

The "breakthrough" achieved by India and the US over the landmark civil nuclear deal, six years after it was signed, dominated American media coverage of US President Barack Obama's unprecedented second visit to the country. 'Obama, (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi Say Progress Made on Civil Nuclear Trade', said a headline of The Wall Street Journal, while another in The Washington Post said 'Obama, India's Modi claim breakthrough on nuclear issues.' The New York Times said Obama swept aside past friction with India to report progress on climate change and civilian nuclear power cooperation as he sought to transform a fraught relationship marked by suspicion into an enduring partnership linking the world’s oldest and largest democracies.

DARK MATTER GLIMPSE OF THE UNSEEN

Dark Matter made of WIMPS particles that would be their antiparticles and hence destroy each other on collision and sequel produce normal matter, that would create gamma  ray photons. It is densest in the Milky Way center is the optimistic place to locate it. A new study reveals that a stark signal, an excess of gamma-ray photons extending over probably 5000ly from the Milky Way’s center.[Fermi National Laboratory Batavia Ill].

COSMIC RADIATION

1.Synchrotron radiation emitted by charged particles, such as electron change direction in the central Milky Way, the strong  magnetic fields tend to spin electrons in circles. Galactic synchrotron radiation arises in the form of Microwaves. 2.Bremsstrahlung radiation produced when energetic electrons passes by another charged particle, the electron will slow down, loses energy in the form of photons, which are the Gamma Rays. 3.An electron flying through the Galaxy can collide with a low-energy photon generating Gamma Rays, a process known as the inverse Compton effect.

The high-energy electrons produced as a consequence of Dark Matter annihilation, they yield also high energy Gamma Rays, most probably detected by Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope. The Microwaves Haze, due to the high-energy electrons, seen could be the artifact of Synchrotron Radiation generated by DARK MATTER.

The author, finds that the Dark Matter has a stint of very many colors of the EM spectrum concealed, a feature not projected to-date by any Scientist. This constitutes a major breakthrough of the DARK MATTER and leads to enormous literature world over.

30th January 2015

The day was very mild in Sunlight and but with not much chilly weather. It has been noticed that the beach coast is being filled with red sands, a mark of great respect for the old age India, that are being dug out and dumped away at the sea coast, to satisfy the public outcry to protect the coastal beach resorts,  obviously to create sites for construction of super structures along the beach coast. Work is progressing very rapidly day and night. Mrs. E A S Sarma was carrying out her crusade about the preservation of RED DUNES as a historical and ancient land of Visakhapatnam.

PREFACE

PERAM MANIFOLD
RANGADHAMA EFFECT.

The contributions to this book cover a large part of publications made by the author Prof. Dr. K. L. Narayana, while educating the graduate students at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India for his lively-hood. Both experimental and mostly theoretical research in diverse subjects of Science & Technology challenge led him to a deep concern for his parents, viz. Prof K. R. Rao, especially of his dedicated and unbound research endeavor, and Mrs. K. Peramma.

From year 1915 to the year June 20, 1972, the active academic life-time of Prof. K. R. Rao D.Sc. (Madras) D.Sc.(London), was a great triumph and provided excellence in Educational and Technological fields of Scientific Research world over. And for many a student who moved away to abroad for secured posts and those who got coveted positions in India, in several Universities and Government establishments his life and training was a hidden card in their life. His wife Mrs. PERAMMA, whom he married at the age of 19 years, was just five years younger to him. She mastered the English Language and was complimented by the High School teachers in Visakhapatnam, as an extraordinary intellect. But, she became devoted to the family life of eight children, till to her demise in 1971 December. She was the first Lady representative of Visakhapatnam Municipality in the early 1930s.

The author obtained his Doctorate in Physics, in 1964 from the world renowned laboratories of Andhra University, Waltair. Extensive research in diverse fields, at Shivaji University by him, was just an aftermath of his experience at Andhra University in the years during 1959-1964.

The author has the pleasure to bring out the significant work on discovery, observation and analysis of PERAM MANIFOLD & RANGADHAMA EFFECT. The work shapes the fundamental understanding of the basics of Physics, and the world around and within us. In series of articles published by him at several symposia and conferences, especially, Indian Science Congress, mostly put in
presents the subject of PERAM MANIFOLD AND RANGADHAMA EFFECT.

The one he published earlier on 2 January 2014, as a book-let was entitled ”ANTI-PHOTON”.

He was captured by the thrill of the accounts of the articles in the present book that fascinate and with sole idea of finding out the inherent Science. The book, now brought out, lists all the articles on the eventful finding on PERAM MANIFOLD AND RANGADHAMA EFFECT, of about 215 pages is more exact and elaborative.
