Till the evening 6 PM the Sun heat was intense. An unusual chilly weather experienced on the early morning of Tuesday 25 Oct, due to the cyclone KYANT. It rained a slight shower around 2 PM on 27 Oct and in the morning of 28 Oct heavy rain for about an hour and subsequently, till 5 AM it rained only with modest intensity. Observation by the present author is that the Earth tremors of Italy have fizzled out and weakened the progression of the intense cyclone storm over the Bay of Bengal.  This happened during the 24 hour period during Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 of this month. Strange pulses of cosmic light from 234 different stars in our Milky Way Galaxy. A powerful 6.6-magnitude earthquake on 30 Oct 2016, rocked central Italy on Sunday morning, injuring at least 20 people, in the strongest tremor to hit the country in more than three decades. Late News: The coronal mass ejection is the reason of weakening of earth’s magnetic field. There was a 32 minute gap between muon burst and the arrival of interplanetary magnetic field.  Detection of muon bursts serves as an early warning in the case of a sudden super-storm.

Navara rice, Rajmudi, Karuppu Kavuni rice, Ambemohar rice, black rice, bamboo rice, red rice... the list seems endless! India was home to over one lakh rice varieties till around 1960s. The emphasis on high-yielding varieties led to the disappearance of the traditional ones and now only a few thousand traditional varieties are believed to be in existence. About a dozen traditional varieties of rice were put up on display at the ‘Rice Mela’, organised by Sumaja Eco Wellness, an organic shoppe, on the eve of World Food Day at its outlet Pandurangapuram on Saturday.

SARASWATHI RIVER OF VEDIC TIME
NEW DELHI: The Saraswati River, so far considered mythical, did exist, a government-constituted expert committee has found. Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti said the government will take action on the report, which according to her, "cannot be challenged". "We have reached a conclusion that river Saraswati existed, it flowed. It originated in the Himalayas and met gulf at the western sea."

RARE NEOLITHIC GODDESS
Archaeologists discovered 8000 years old rare statues of fertility at a neolithic site in Turkey made of lime stone between 6000 and 6300 BC. The figurines measure 17 cm long and 10.96 cm wide weighing in at one Kg.

Working with HB Studios, IFCKC and other film making communities in New York City, helped him to make films. After 12 years, coming to Vizag, plan to do action movies.
19 Oct 2016: PHILIPPINES: MANILA: Super Typhoon Haima slammed into the northeastern Philippine coast late Wednesday with ferocious winds and rain that rekindled fears and memories from the catastrophe wrought by Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. Haima, which has sustained winds of 140 miles (225 kilometers) per hour and gusts of up to 195 mph (315 kph), smashed inland in Penablanca town in Cagayan province shortly before midnight, weather officials said. Many villages lost power and intense winds tore tin roofs off houses. Haima, locally known as Lawin, was hurtling westward at a speed of 15 mph (25 kph) with a vast rain band 500 miles (800 kilometers) wide that could bring heavy to intense rain in Luzon, including its central rice-growing plains.

Although neutral hydrogen is easy to detect with radio telescopes, mapping the whole sky is a significant achievement because 'noise' from mobile phones and broadcast stations pollute the faint emissions coming from the Universe. Pilot studies of the HI4PI data show a wealth of filamentary structures never seen before tiny clouds become visible that appear to have fuelled star formation in the Milky Way for billions of years.

The battery supplies additional power required for takeoff and climbing. The fuel cell itself is not unlike the science experiments mixing hydrogen and oxygen to spark a small explosion that some may remember from school, Thess says: "But there is no bang. Just electricity and water vapor as the exhaust gas. It's a way of taming this explosion and extracting electric energy directly from hydrogen and oxygen."

21 Oct. 2016
2:26 pm: The Japan News: A powerful magnitude-6.6   quake with an epicentre in central Tottori Prefecture struck western Japan at around 2:07 p.m. Friday. The quake was felt throughout the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. A lower 6 quake on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 was felt in the central part of Tottori Prefecture. The quake measured upper 5 in eastern Tottori Prefecture and northern Okayama Prefecture.

Double Earth Quake and Volcano: April 16 2016
When a 7.1-magnitude quake struck Kumamoto, Japan, on April 16, 2016, it opened surface ruptures in a zone extending 25 miles (40 km) in length. But scientists found evidence suggesting that the powerful earthquake was halted by a magma chamber under the Aso volcanic cluster, located 19 miles (30 km) from where the quake originated.

PROTEIN RICH RICE: 21 Oct 2016
In Raipur Indira Gandhi Krishi Vidyalaya developed a rice variety with sufficiently moderate protein rich. Along with proteins this variety of rice has also zinc and other nutritive elements. Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Professor Girish Chandel spent seven years to evolve this variety.

22 Oct 2016  It was hot since the morning and also the tap water is quite hot, with a blazing Sun.
23 Oct 2016 BERMUDA TRIANGLE
The riddle could finally be solved after meteorologists discovered bizarre "hexagonal" shaped clouds between 20 and 50 miles wide forming over the dodgy patch of water. Meteorologist Randy Cerveny said: "The satellite imagery is really bizarre, the hexagonal shapes of the cloud formations." These types of hexagonal shapes in the ocean are in essence air bombs. They're formed by microbursts and are blasts of air." The blasts of air are so powerful that they can reach 170 mph, a hurricane-like force easily capable of sinking ships and downing planes. For centuries, the notorious Bermuda Triangle, located between Miami, Puerto Rico and the island of Bermuda, has been linked with a high number of unexplained disappearances of aircraft and ships in its waters.

24 Oct 2016 It was hot but not the extent of a summer heat. The Levels of CO2 in the atmosphere have surged past an important threshold and may not dip below it for "many generations". The 400 parts per million benchmark was broken globally for the first time, in recorded history in 2015. But according to the WMO 2016 will likely be the first full year to exceed the mark. The high levels can be partly attributed to a strong El NiƱo event.

25 Oct 2016: The onset of cyclone KYANT in north coastal AP may dampen Diwali spirit, but only with a moderate rainfall. The morning of Tuesday October 25, 2016 was unusually quite chilly possibly due to the oncoming cyclone. It would recurve, toward Indian coast from Tuesday possibly the reason for a chilly weather in the morning of Tuesday.

ITALY TWO EARTHQUAKES 21 Hours ago
Fig.8 The two earthquakes of Italy
on the Wednesday, 26 Oct. They weakened
the cyclone occurrence in the East Coast of India.

A 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck central Italy on Wednesday at a depth of 10 kilometers just two months after a stronger quake killed almost 300 and leveled a number of small towns. The United States Geological Society initially said a magnitude 5.6 quake had hit, but the strength was subsequently revised down to 5.4. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The earthquake struck near the border between the regions of Marche and Umbria, but the epicenter is still unclear. It was also felt in Rome at about 1710 GMT. Wednesday evening's 5.5-magnitude quake struck near Visso in Macerata province, followed by a 6.1 magnitude tremor in the same area two hours later. Historic buildings in central Italy have been badly damaged by two strong earthquakes that forced hundreds of residents out of their homes.  The quakes were felt across central Italy, including in the capital, Rome, where buildings shook and doors and windows rattled.

27 Oct 2016:
A sigh of relief for Visakhapatnam as cyclone Kyant fizzled out on Thursday, 27 Oct, as a deep depression, and expected to bring only rain. It went west southwestward and is now west-central Bay of Bengal. Latitude 15.5 Degrees north and 85.0 degrees east, about 310 km south-east of Visakhapatnam, 420 km east off Machilipatnam and 550 km east-northeast of Nellore. It would move  west south-west and would weaken as a depression. Light to moderate rain of 1-6.5 cm would occur in Andhra Pradesh during Oct 28 - 30.

OBSERVATION by the present author is that the Earth tremors of Italy have fizzled out and weakened the progress of the intense cyclone storm over the Bay of Bengal. This happened during the 24 hour period during Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 of this month. A unique happening over distant lands of Italy and at a distance of about 300 miles into Bay of Bengal.
28 Oct 2016:
There was a drizzle of rain on the afternoon around 2 PM on the 27 Oct, though the day was fully hot in spite of cloudy weather. During the early morning of 28 Oct there was a heavy rain for about an hour followed by light showers till morning 5 AM. Kyant weakened but 2-3 days the moisture content of the cyclone would be released with moderate rains.

ART FORM OLD IN BENGAL:
Young girls and married women alike draw figures in style ALPANA with finger as brush and rice powder paste.  The finger motifs of Gods, using the paste comprising rice flour, with ritualistic images, from mythology and scriptures, drawn in Puja mandaps etc. They are drawn for the well- being of the family. INTACH along with DARICHA FOUNDATION under cultural heritage programme are promoting it. Ian Beed from Florida State University, was fascinated by this art.
Friday 28 Oct 2016: Rainfall data as on Friday Kalingapatnam received 7.6 cm rain, Visakhapatnam city received 7.17 cm rainfall, Visakhapatnam airport received 3.44 cm and Bheemili received 2.04 cm of rainfall respectively.

MILITARY PLANES MADE IN INDIA

Lockheed Martin said it is interested in setting up a production line for its F-16 plane in India for not just the Indian military, but also for export. And Sweden's Saab has offered a rival production line for its Gripen aircraft, setting up an early contest for one of the biggest military plane deals in play.
Strange pulses of cosmic light
These might be signals from hundreds of different alien civilizations, or just the latest false alarm in the tortuous search for ET. This month, astrophysicists Ermanno Borra and Eric Trottier, both from Laval University in Quebec, announced that they had spotted mysterious light signals coming from 234 different stars in our Milky Way Galaxy. These pulses match the profile of signals that Borra, in a 2012 paper, predicted intelligent aliens might use to get our attention, the authors wrote. "We find that the detected signals have exactly the shape of an ETI [extraterrestrial intelligence] signal predicted in the previous publication and are therefore in agreement with this hypothesis," the duo wrote in the paper, which was published online Oct. 14 in the journal Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.
30 October 2016:
A powerful 6.6-magnitude earthquake rocked central Italy on Sunday morning, injuring at least 20 people, in the strongest tremor to hit the country in more than three decades.. The earthquake follows tremors last week.
Muon bursts and Sudden Super-storms from Sun:
Fig.9 GRAPES-3 Indian Muon Tracker in Ooty. 22 June 2016
The GRAPES-3 Indian Muon Tracker, experiment at Ooty detected muon intensity correlated with a weakening of  the Earth’s magnetic field, due to a solar storm that hit the earth on 22 June 2016. The CME has weakened the Earth’s magnetic field allowing high energy cosmic rays to burst through. The analysis showed a peak in the incoming intensity of muons detected, correlated with a negative spike in the component of magnetic field, perpendicular to the ecliptic (the ecliptic is the plane of the Sun’s apparent orbit. The coronal mass ejection is the reason of weakening of earth’s magnetic field. There was a 32 minute gap between muon burst and the arrival of interplanetary magnetic field.  Detection of muon bursts serves as an early warning in the case of a sudden super-storm. Gamma Ray Astronomy PeV EnergieS phase-3, is designed to study cosmic rays with an array of air shower detectors and a large area muon detector. It aims to probe acceleration of cosmic rays in the following four astrophysical settings. These include acceleration of particles to, (i) ~100 MeV in atmospheric electric fields through muons, (ii) ~10 GeV in Solar system through muons, (iii) ~1 PeV in our galaxy through nuclear composition of cosmic rays, (iv) ~100 EeV in nearby universe through measurement of diffuse Ī³-ray flux. The GRAPES-3 is located at N11.4o, E76.7o, 2200m above mean sea level. The observations began with 217 plastic scintillators and a 560 m² area muon detector in 2000. The scintillators detect charged particles contained in extenstive air showers produced by interaction of high energy cosmic rays in the atmosphere. At present the array is operating with ~400 scintillators that are spread over an area of 25,000 m². The energy threshold of muon detectors is 1 GeV.

The Washington Post reported that the extent of the destruction in Haiti, the western hemisphere's poorest nation, is still unknown after Matthew struck with 145 mph winds. International aid teams are struggling to reach areas cut off by mud slides and washed-out bridges. Having calmed somewhat since to a still-major 115 mph Category-3 hurricane, Matthew's path toward the US has grown clearer. It's projected to be right off the coast of Florida by Thursday evening. Hurricane warnings are in effect across much of the eastern coast of Florida, with hurricane watches in the north and tropical storm watches in the south. Florida has not been hit by a hurricane since Wilma in 2005. The NOAA still projects Matthew will be a "major" hurricane with winds over 110 mph when it hits Florida.

Hurricane Matthew, the fiercest Caribbean storm in nearly a decade, slammed into the Bahamas early on Thursday and intensified as it barrelled toward the south-eastern U.S. coast where millions of residents heeded warnings to flee inland. Roadways in Florida, Georgia and North and South Carolina were jammed and gas stations and food stores ran out of supplies as the storm approached, bringing storm surges, heavy rain and sustained winds that accelerated overnight to about 125 miles (205 km) per hour. Matthew, which killed at least 39 people and displaced thousands, mostly in southern Haiti, was predicted to strengthen from a Category 3 to 4 storm enroot to Florida's Atlantic coast. Landfall was expected there on Thursday night. The hurricane warning area farther north into Georgia and more than 12 million U.S. residents were under a hurricane watches and warnings.

PLASMA BALLS 07 Oct 2016
The plasma balls are zooming so fast through space it would take only 30 minutes for them to travel from Earth to the moon. This stellar "cannon fire" has continued once every 8.5 years for at least the past 400 yearsAccording to this theory, the companion would have to be in an elliptical orbit that carries it close to the red giant's puffed-up atmosphere every 8.5 years. As the companion enters the bloated star's outer atmosphere, it gobbles up material. This material then settles into a disk around the companion, and serves as the launching pad for blobs of plasma, which travel at roughly a half-million miles per hour. Planetary nebulae aren't like regular nebula, which are the birthplace of stars. Instead, they're swirling rings of glowing gas that are expelled by dead or dying stars. Each one is unique, but no one has been able to explain how they form.

In AP every year about 2500 people die due to fall of thunderbolts. Bharat Space environment Society plans to inform half an hour earlier where the thunderbolt would strike. The satellites of AP stationed in the sky and on ground would be able to assess in advance where the thunderbolts would strike. The predictions for fall of rains, are divided as far reaching, middle time (within one or two  months)and short time (within two to three hours) notices to the Zilla information centres.

VOLCANO ON 1:46 AM SATURDAY
Mount Aso, a volcano on Japan's main southern island of Kyushu, erupted early on Saturday, spewing volcanic ash 11,000 meters (7 miles) into the sky. Eruption, which began at 1:46 a.m. local time (1646 GMT Friday) on one of the peaks of the 1,592-metre (5,222 feet) mountain in Kumamoto Prefecture. It was the first "explosive eruption" at the peak since January 1980. The alert level for the volcano to level 3 on a scale of 5, people   warned of falling rocks. It also warned of falling ash in 10 prefectures. Volcanic ash had accumulated on cars, houses and roads in the city of Aso and ash was falling as far as 320 km (200 miles) away, Japanese media said. Tomatoes and asparagus were being grown 6-8 km (4-5 miles) away from the crater had been broken by ash and small rocks. Window was cracked by a falling rock at an Aso youth centre about 5 km (3 miles) away from the crater but there were no reports of injuries. "We are concerned that more damage on crops will be reported". Kyushu Electric Power Co said the eruption had no impact on its Sendai nuclear plant, which is about 160 km (100 miles) south of Mount Aso and is one of the two reactors that are online in Japan. Up to 29,000 households lost power shortly after the eruption but the problem was fixed in less than two hours, a spokesman at Kyushu Electric said. Mount Aso is one of the most active peaks in Japan but is also a popular hiking spot.

INDIAN SCIENTIST:  Solar Cell 10.77% Efficiency
The "Science" journal on October 7, 2016 reported that Abhishek Swarnakar research student of Chemistry Department, from IISER as the lead author, and others from NRE Laboratory Colorado, produced stable solar cell with 10.77% conversion efficiency. They used cesium lead iodide with reduced size of crystals to nanometer range. The material was able to absorb visible sunlight to 700 nm. Material retains cubic phase,  even at room temperature. The nanocrystals were found to be stable from -196C to about 200C. Bigger size crystals absorb only at 400 nm.

ANCIENT HUMAN FOOTPRINTS
October 13, 2016 08:58 IST: The Washington Post
The site in northern Tanzania is the largest assemblage of ancient human footprints in Africa and one of the biggest on the planet, Liutkus-Pierce and her colleagues reported in the journal Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology. The 400-odd footprints, which cover an area the size of a tennis court, were imprinted in deposits from an ancient flood, dried, then covered up with a second layer of mud and preserved for as many as 19,000 years.  Using the argon-argon dating technique, by which scientists measure the decay of an isotope called Argon-40 into Argon-39 in order to find the age of crystals, they came up with a rough approximation of the footprints' age: 19,000 years at the oldest, 10,000 or 12,000 years at the youngest.
T-Rays
European and Russian scientists have proposed a new method using much more rapid terahertz radiation, aka "T-rays," the same things used in airport body scanners. According to their research,  published in the journal Nature, swapping out magnetic fields for T-rays could crank up the rate of the cell-resetting process by a factor of 1000, which could be used to create ultrafast memory. The radiation is actually a series of short electromagnetic pulses pinging the cells at terahertz frequencies (which have wavelengths of about 0.1 millimeter, lying between microwaves and infrared light, according to the scientists' press release). Most of the recent T-ray experiments have dealt with quick, precise inspections of organic and mechanical material.
