Dec. 3, 2019: 4:57 PM: Typhoon kills 3 in Philippines, hundreds of flights halted. Authorities evacuated some 225,000 people ahead of the arrival overnight of Typhoon Kammuri, known locally as Tisoy. Officials said their precautions prevented greater loss of life, while warnings of floods, storm surges and landslides were issued in the wake of the country’s 20th typhoon of the year.
Dec. 4,  2019: Agra farmer dumps potato to grow saffron sold at over Rs 80,000 per kg. Being a temperature-sensitive crop, Saffron is usually concentrated around the Kashmir region but a farmer from Agra's Runakta area has surprisingly decided to forgo the potato crop that is traditionally grown in Agra, to grow this golden cash crop with the cost of over Rs 1.5 lakh.

Dec. 7,  2019: 06:12 AM: Rukura dam leaking, Hirakud to give a fix. A huge amount of dam water is leaking from the emergency gate for the last couple of days. “The leakage has not been caused due to damage or crevice in the emergency gate but due to some fault in the shutter. The technical team from Hirakud will fix the problem by Saturday afternoon”. Incidentally, after a delayed start, the monsoon continued beyond the month of September this year. Following the low-pressure induced heavy rains in October, the dam’s water level reached the maximum reserve level (RL).
Dec. 08, 2019: Sunday, The New Express Magazine, The Ranakpur temples, viz., Chaumukha temple, Surya temple, Suparshvanath temple and Aba temple, the intricate carvings and architecture of the white marble covering 1,444 pillars, with several patterns of humans, flora and fauna, are a sight to behold. Temple has 24 pillared halls supported by 400 columns none of which have an identical design. What surprises one is that the columns change color from golden to pale blue after every hour during the day time. 30 km away exists the Kumbhalgarh fort built in 15th century.

The musical instrument Veena is not practiced by many in India, mostly orthodox families venture playing this instrument. An art which is being maintained by enthusiastic family groups. The veena is made from Jackfruit tree wood in one piece but now-a-days several parts are made from jackfruit tree.

Dec. 10, 2019, 06:41 pm:  5.6 magnitude earthquake hits New Caledonia,  Paris,  a French overseas territory in the Pacific on Tuesday, The temblor was registered 100 km to the northeast of the town of Tadine at 8:40 GMT. It was epicentered at the depth of 10 km.
Dec. 11, 2019: I found that the Ocean appeared as a big lake with the waves of almost hardly six inches height and, it receded into the sea by almost 60 to 100 feet extending surprisingly from the coastal battery area  to beyond the RK mission beach.  The vast expanse of the beach from Maharanipeta down to the distant palm beach area is phenomenal. The waves were reaching the shore line almost very silently without the buzz of the ferocious Ocean. This was the case since last few days beginning  December month.

Yesterday, two lorries blew over all because of the wind due to bad weather across Scotland.

Dec. 15, 2019: Strong earthquake shakes southern Philippines. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the latest quake to strike the southern part of the country in recent months did not bring with it a tsunami threat, based on the available data. Video footage posted on social media showed water sloshing out of a hotel swimming pool, fixtures shaking in a hotel room and people evacuating via staircase.
