The aurora was captured on April 22-23 night. A coronal mass ejection was hurtled from the Sun on April 21. The CME struck Earth at a speed of 21,60,000 km per hour. The Indian Astronomical Observatory above Mount Saraswati captured a rare phenomenon as a geomagnetic storm struck Earth's magnetic field, creating unique auroras. The auroras are normally seen at higher altitudes in parts of Alaska, Norway, and other countries. This was the first time that the aurora was captured on camera in India by the Indian Astronomical Observatory. The 360-degree camera atop the IAO in Ladakh Hanle captured the mysterious phenomenon, which is triggered by an interaction between the plasma particles hurled by the Sun and Earth's magnetic field.

1. The Srimad Bhagavatam speaks to several topics that have in modern times been topics of scientific speculation and research. 2. The Third Canto (Chapter 11) offers calculations of  time, pegging the briefest unit to the interval needed for atomic combinations, the longest to  the entire duration of the universe.[8] 3. An example of time dilation (a topic in modern physics) appears in the Ninth Canto, wherein King Kakudmi travels to Brahmaloka to meet  the god Brahma. After spending a short time in Brahmaloka the king discovers that during his  short stay many thousands of years have passed on earth and all the people he once knew have died long ago.[9] 4. Prof Joshy was a chemistry professor at Banaras Hindu University when he discovered an interesting phenomenon in gas discharge tube under light irradiation. Later on, the Joshy effect was rediscovered as the Optogalavanic effect and provided a new spectroscopic technique to study optical absorption spectroscopy with non-optical detection in 1982 by Green et al . Then only BHU people and physicists elsewhere in Indian laboratories found that OGS is, in fact, the rediscovery of Joshy effect.

May 10, 2023: Hyper massive Neutron Star: The oscillating frequencies of two short gamma-ray bursts are the best evidence yet for the formation of ‘impossible’ hyper massive neutron star that can briefly defy gravity before collapsing to form a black hole.  Moreover, the neutron star is extremely slow in completing its rotation – one rotation in every 76 seconds. The object also gives off seven different types of radio pulses. Since such slower rotation of the object is unusual to other known neutron stars, it can be expected to help unlock the mystery of fast radio bursts (FRBs).  A neutron star forms when a large star runs out of fuel and explodes, leaving behind a super-dense remnant that can pack mass of Sun into the space of a city. Usually, a neutron star can only contain a bit more than two times the mass of the sun before it undergoes gravitational collapse to form a black hole. However, when two regular neutron stars in a binary system merge, their combined mass can exceed this limit — but only briefly, and the stage is difficult to spot.

The process involves three stages and helps in preserving them for years with causing any damages. Let’s take a look here-  For this, every leave is cleaned with a dry brush and a natural spirit is applied on it to make it very clean by ensuring that there is no tiny particle of dut on it. Then specific oils are applied to the leaves, where they are preserved for a maximum period of time due to the wetness they got from the oils.  After this the palm leaves are numbered and they are later scanned with latest scanning machine to manuscript them. The TTD has added new buildings under manuscript project to preserve the palm leave scripts for a period of 500 years, where the scriptures are preserved in lockers in bunker-type-constructions.
