June 05, 2020: Mild tremors were felt in some parts of Ongole and its surroundings on Friday. Thuravagunta, Devuducheruvu, Vassepalem and C.S.R. Sarma College, felt the tremors in the morning around 10:15 AM. Tremors measured 2.7R with the epicentre five km north-east of Ongole. The region witnessed 12 earthquakes in the past including two major ones in 1967 and 1959 with magnitudes 5.4R and 5R respectively. 
June 5, 2020: Low lying areas in Lankelapalam, GVMC 79 ward, and surrounding areas, were filled with water due to the heavy rain on Thursday, especially in Pharma city main road and Eluru canal bridge, were under water. A lightning bolt killed a daily wage lady worker and another two people were seriously hurt in Mogulipuram. Tasildar Rama Devi and others met the lady's relatives at their residence and expressed grief. In Visakhapatnam at 10 AM heavy rain slashed the city, and later blowing winds troubled people and office going people were affected. 
June 5, 2020: Two mild earthquakes hit Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and Karnataka's Hampi on Friday morning, Jamshedpur was hit by an earthquake of magnitude 4.7 at 6:55am. Hampi also experienced a mild earthquake of magnitude 4.0 at the same time.

A very significant observation of the Lunar Eclipse on the of 5/6 June was that the entire sky was, of eerie red color of the Moon was significant and also the sky was somewhat cloudy though the Moon was quite visible as the photos above reveal, but the eerie red color seen with the naked eye, has not been captured in the pictures with the camera.

June 06, 2020, 11:39 AM IST: The image of the magnetic field was obtained by using an automatic tracing method applied to images of the corona taken during 14 eclipses across the past two decades. This data provided the chance to study the changes in the corona over two 11-year magnetic cycles of the sun. In his observation the IFA astronomer found that the pattern of the coronal magnetic field lines is highly structured, with structures seen at size scales down to the resolution limit of the cameras used for the observations. He also saw the pattern changing with time. Boe measured the magnetic field angle relative to the sun's surface to quantify these changes, reported phys.org.

June 7, 2020: A meteor lit up the night sky over Tennessee and neighboring states late Sunday (June 7), sparking 120 fireball sightings across 12 different states and Canada. The fireball occurred at 9:42 p.m. EDT (0142 GMT) and blazed a trail over southern Ohio, according to a ground track by the American Meteor Society. It was visible for up to 3.5 seconds from as far south as South Carolina and as far north as Ontario, Canada, AMS reported.

June 9. 2020: Magnitude 3.9 mild earthquake strikes Jammu & Kashmir.A mild earthquake hit Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on early Tuesday morning, news agencies reported. The National Center for Seismology later confirmed that the earthquake, which measured a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter Scale, had its epicenter 15 km north-northeast of Srinagar at a depth of 10 km.

The Sangay volcano has had moderate eruptions for over a year that have had little impact because of its remote location, but a recent change in wind patterns has pushed ash toward the coast and affected areas including the largest city, Guayaquil. “The ash comes out of the Sangay volcano and spreads into the Guayas province, and we see a quantity of ash that is arriving near Guayaquil.”

With no one to guide him, Parimal contacted a supplier from Kolkata and got his first batch of dragon fruit plants at a hefty price of Rs. 250 per piece.

L&T manufactured Cryostat base installed in world's largest nuclear fusion project. The assembly tools of Cryostat were delivered during the lockdown. The installation into the ITER Tokamak building is a major activity for other downstream activities to achieve the mission for first plasma as soon as possible by the end of 2025. L&T has also already delivered the lower cylinder of the Cryostat in March 2019 and upper cylinder in March 2020. The final part, the top lid sectors will be dispatched from Hazira, Gujarat, in July 2020. The project scope is divided into three parts, firstly manufacturing and shipping of all sub-assembly sections from L&T Hazira, then constructing a temporary workshop at the project site in France for assembling the Cryostat sections into large assemblies and lastly to integrate the Cryostat inside the Tokamak Reactor building. The Cryostat is the largest vacuum vessel ever built with 29.4 mtr in diameter, 29 mtr in height weighing 3,850 tonne.
June  12, 2020: Scientists Discover Unknown Structures Hidden Deep Within The Earth.“This is showing us that the core-mantle boundary region has lots of structures that can produce these echoes, and that was something we didn’t realize before because we only had a narrow view.”Researchers found echoes along about 40% of all seismic wave paths, we were expecting them to be more rare, and what that means is the anomalous structures at the core-mantle boundary are much more widespread than previously thought.
June 12, 2020:  Scientists Have Created 5th State Of Matter That Could Answer Some Of Humanity's Biggest Questions.However, there is also a fifth state of matter called the Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs), which was predicted by Albert Einstein and Indian mathematician Satyendra Nath Bose about a century ago. This is when a group of atoms is cooled to near absolute zero, the atoms begin to clump together, behaving as if they were one big "super-atom." The scientists think that BECs contain vital clues to mysterious phenomena such as dark energy -- the unknown energy thought to be behind the Universe's accelerating expansion.
June 12, 2020: Odisha: 500-yr-old submerged temple resurfaces in Mahanadi. An ancient temple, submerged for a long time in river Mahanadi, has resurfaced in Odisha's Nayagarh district. The top of the submerged temple was discovered mid-river near Baideswar in the Padmavati village near Nayagarh. The 60 ft submerged temple dates back to late 15th or early 16th century, considering the construction style of the Mastaka and material used for the construction. "The 60-ft temple which belong to Lord Gopinath, a form of Lord Vishnu dates back to late 15th or early 16th century." The region where the temple has been found used to be regarded as 'Satapatana'. Padmavati village was part of Satapatana which is a combination of seven villages. The temple was dedicated to Lord Gopinath Dev. With the river changing its course due to flooding 150 years ago, its flow changed and the entire village was submerged by the river in 19th Century. Locals of Padmabati village said there are around 22 temples in the area which are under water but only 'mastaka' of Gopinath Deba temple was visible for some years as it was the tallest.The last time the 'mastaka' was seen was 11 years back. In the past one year, it was seen for 4 to 5 days due to changing water level.

The Southwest monsoon set in major parts of North Bengal, Sikkim, and a major portion of Gangetic West Bengal on Friday. June 12, 2020: University of Siliconandhra due to lockdown in USA, Kuchibotla Anand Chairman unrelentingly by 'Mana Badi' is giving about 11,000 students Telugu language teaching. Zoom society gave free technical expertise to promote this activity. Ancient language Telugu is being projected as a World language. Music performing Art and Dance Academy (SAMPADA) has been initiated. About 1500 students getting training in Sangeeta, Natya and Vadya (musical)  disciplines being trained from their residents itself due to the lockdown.

The signal that the researchers are looking for is an electromagnetic wave given off by the neutral hydrogen that used to populate the universe before stars formed.And now a team of international scientists is closer than ever to detecting, measuring and studying a signal from this “dark age” of the universe that has been travelling through space since the end of that starless era about 13 billion years. The signal could help explain how star formation shaped the early universe, according to a report in website phys dot org.

June 14. 2020: Putting to use the phrase 'best from waste', a 9th class student from Kochi in Kerala has developed a light motorcycle using scrap material from his father's automobile workshop. The boy, Arshad H, developed the innovative motorcycle in one and a half months by putting together he scrap parts. The light motorcycle can run for up to one km on a litre of petrol.
June 15, 2020 8:50 IST: Magnitude 5.1 earthquake strikes Iran's southern Fars province. The epicentre of the earthquake, which took place at 10.35 p.m., was at the depth of 16 km, 27.489 degrees north latitude and 53.353 degrees east longitude.
June 15, 2020, 07:15 AM IST: ISTANBUL:  An earthquake with a 5.7 magnitude shook Bingol province in eastern Turkey on Sunday, causing the collapse of a military observation tower which injured three people.
