Conceived by UNSW Emeritus Professor of theoretical physics Heinrich Hora, HB11 Energy's concept differs radically from other experimental fusion projects. "After investigating a laser-boron fusion approach for over four decades at UNSW, I am thrilled that this pioneering approach has now received patents in three countries," said Professor Hora. "These granted patents represent the eve of HB11 Energy's seed-stage fundraising campaign that will establish Australia's first commercial fusion company, and the world's only approach focused on the safe hydrogen - boron reaction using lasers," Hora added. The two-laser approach needed for HB11 Energy's hydrogen-boron fusion only became possible recently thanks to advances in laser technology, At Mahatma Gandhi's Sabarmati Ashram, the Trumps tried their hands on spinning the 'charkha' (spinning wheel), The beef-lover US Prez will have to settle for an all-vegetarian meal in India, Rathnamma at Arattuvazhi village is sitting on her own gas deposit in her compound, If axions exist as fundamental particles, they could constitute a hidden form of matter in the cosmos, dark matter, user in India to grow to over 11 GB a month, 7 year old girl trains use of Microsoft tools such as Minecraft, Scratch, Kahoot, and Flipgrid in her school's classrooms, the 296-km Bundelkhand Expressway.

Super storm prompts rare red alert in Britain's Wales, heaviest rain cleared from Northern Ireland, and Scotland River Tweed to Cornwall, in Sunday. Windows of over 150 km, in Aberdaron, South Wales. Danger to life from fast flowing water, extensive flooding to property and road closures. A river in Hereford has reached its highest level in at least 200 years in the wake of Storm Dennis lashing the area with torrential rain. The River Wye reached 20 ft (6.11 meters) – its highest since records began – on Monday, with residents in Hereford saying they had never seen anything like it.

Feb 18, 2020, 17:37 IST: These Scientists Just Generated Electricity Using Nothing But Air And A Bacteria. Back in 1987, a microbiologist named Derek Lovley, along with his team at University of Massachusetts managed to isolate a strain of bacteria called Geobacter metallireducens or simply ‘Geobacter’. Found in sedimentary environments, a source for its name ‘geo’, the bacteria strain was hailed for its ability to transfer electrons through each other. Simply put, a capacity to generate electricity from soil and food waste. Seems like the same bacteria can generate electricity even from the moisture in the air. Putting it to use, laboratories of electrical engineer Jun Yao and microbiologist Derek Lovley at UMass Amherst have now come up with a device they are calling as “Air-gen” A.K.A. an air-powered generator. As the name suggests, the novel invention is able to generate electricity right out of air! Backing this are electrically conductive protein nanowires produced by the same Geobacter that Dr Lovley first isolated back in 1987. The new device is a result of a 33 year of pursuit of generating electricity using the bacteria strain that even saw its use in microbial fuel cells for environmental restoration, energy harvesting as well as clearing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Fig. 2 An 18-foot Sivalinga of Neolithic Age.
It was believed to have been formed during Neolithic age. An 18-foot Sivalinga has been discovered by a freelance archaeologist at the Bhairaveshwara Swamy Temple atop the Mopuru hillock, in Vemula mandal of A.P.’s YSR Kadapa district. The linga was believed to have been naturally formed (‘swayambhu’) during the Neolithic age dated back to 3,000 - 2,800 B.C. The sighting of the Sivalinga on the banks of the Mogameru rivulet, close on the heels of the discovery of stone implements such as axes and other tools used by the Megalithic civilisation, has created further interest. The discovery of the Sivalinga has thrown light on the religious practices of Neolithic civilisations during which people used to worship idols of Gods and Goddesses in standing posture. Earlier, Megalithic burial sites have also been found on the river bank. rock menhirs at Karempudi village in Guntur district which revealed the religious practices of megalithic civilisation. Locals believe that the idol was not man made, but a natural formation.

What makes XMM-2599 so fascinating, uncommon, as well as unexpected is that it is no more developing stars, possibly due to the fact that it quit obtaining gas or its great void started to activate.

Everyman's Science Vol.LIV No.4 page 274, October-November 2019: Lurking within a solid crystal is a phenomenon that is mathematically similar to proposed subatomic particles called axions, physicist Johannes Gooth and colleagues report online October 7 in Nature. If axions exist as fundamental particles, they could constitute a hidden form of matter in the cosmos, dark matter. Scientists know dark matter exists thanks to its gravitational pull, but they have yet to identify what it is. Axions are one possibility, but no one has found the particles yet (SN: 4/9/18). The axions analogs within the crystal are a type of quasiparticle, a disturbance in a material that can mimic fundamental particles like axions. Quasiparticles result from the coordinated jostling of electrons within a solid material. The idea of axions is “a very mathematical concept, in a sense, but it still exists in reality.” with a material that hosts a type of quasiparticle known as a Weyl fermion, which behaves as if massless (SN: 7/16/15). When the material is cooled, Weyl fermions become locked into place, forming a crystal. That results in the density of electrons varying in a regular pattern across the material, like a stationary wave of electric charge, with peaks in the wave corresponding to more electrons and dips corresponding to fewer electrons. Applying parallel electric and magnetic fields to the crystal caused the wave to slosh back and forth. That sloshing is the mathematical equivalent of an axion.
