17 July 2018: DST Secretary Prof Ashutosh Sharma was among those present at the inauguration of the device. The basic principle of the LEAP is that a compound is taken and sharpened to an extremely sharp needle-like structure. Then, according to its conductivity, it is either treated with electroplating or subjugated to an ion beam. It is then hit with high-intensity pulsing lasers, which tear through the composition of the compound, disintegrating it into individual atoms. The evaporated atoms are then detected with a sensor kept at a known distance from the compound. And the atoms are classified according to a spectrometer. This data is then used to reconstruct the compound and produce a 3D visualisation.

SANSKRIT AND HUMAN MIND: Sanskrit is the greatest language ever created by human mind. The Sanskrit alphabets were discovered by the rishis in deep meditation, those alphabets are acoustic roots of chakras of human body.so while speaking Sanskrit the sounds we pronounce will create vibration in our chakras which control our vrittis creating mind calm and of good thoughts. Grammar is also one of the most scientific. Unfortunately most of the old texts on grammars are lost only maharishi Panini grammar survived. Modern western linguistic took Sanskrit model of Grammar for western languages but to understand the grammar of Sanskrit you need a subtle mind. you need to have knowledge of universe, mind, soul which comes from deep meditation. Now this divine language is dying we need to revive it. Sanskrit has directly or indirectly influenced most of the language around the world. 19 July 2018: Meghalaya Region in India: The natural sandstone cave system is the longest in the world and dates back to at least 70 million years. We have about 1,700 caves in Meghalaya as of now and over a 1,000 of them have been explored. We have already mapped 491 km of cave passage, which in a small state like Meghalaya, is astounding.

Washington: Indian-origin researchers big discovery in US: Plants may soon create own fertiliser from thin air. It may soon be possible to engineer plants that develop their own fertiliser by using atmospheric nitrogen to create chlorophyll for photosynthesis, according to Indian-origin researchers in the US.The research was rooted in the fact that, although there are no plants that can fix nitrogen from the air, there is a subset of cyanobacteria (bacteria that photosynthesise like plants) that is able to do so. Cyanobacteria can do this even though oxygen, a byproduct of photosynthesis, interferes with the process of nitrogen fixation. The bacteria used in this research, Cyanothece, is able to fix nitrogen because of something it has in common with people. “Cyanobacteria are the only bacteria that have a circadian rhythm,” Pakrasi said. Cyanothece photosynthesise during the day, converting sunlight to the chemical energy they use as fuel, and fix nitrogen at night, after removing most of the oxygen created during photosynthesis through respiration, researchers said. The research team wanted to take the genes from Cyanothece, responsible for this day-night mechanism, and put them into another type of cyanobacteria, Synechocystis, to coax this bug into fixing nitrogen from the air, too. To find the right sequence of genes, the team looked for the telltale circadian rhythm. “We saw a contiguous set of 35 genes that were doing things only at night and they were basically silent during the day,” Pakrasi said. The next steps for the team are to dig deeper into the details of the process, perhaps narrow down even further the subset of genes necessary for nitrogen fixation, and collaborate with other plant scientists to apply the lessons learned from this study to the next level: nitrogen-fixing plants. Crops that can make use of nitrogen from the air will be most effective for subsistence farmers, about 800 million people worldwide, according to the World Bank, raising yields on a scale that is beneficial to a family or a town and freeing up time that was once spent manually spreading fertiliser, researchers said. The researchers from Washington University in St. Louis engineered a bacteria that uses photosynthesis to create oxygen during the day, and at night, uses nitrogen to create chlorophyll for photosynthesis. The research, published in the journal mBio, could eliminate the use of some human-made fertilizer, which has a high environmental cost. This discovery could have a revolutionary effect on agriculture and the health of the planet, according to scientists Himadri Pakrasi and Maitrayee Bhattacharyya. The bacteria used in this research, Cyanothece, is able to fix nitrogen because it has a circadian rhythm. Cyanothece photosynthesise during the day, converting sunlight to the chemical energy they use as fuel, and fix nitrogen at night, after removing most of the oxygen created during photosynthesis through respiration, researchers said. The research team took the genes from Cyanothece, responsible for this day-night mechanism, and put them into another type of cyanobacteria, Synechocystis, to coax it into fixing nitrogen from the air too.

19 July 2018: Meghalaya Age: 11,700 years:

Fig.4 The North-Eastern State of Meghalaya

the drought of 200-years led to human migration.

If you look at the map of India, the tiny north-eastern state of Meghalaya makes up just a small portion of it, but it turns out the state has a much larger role in the history of  our planet earth. According to scientists we are currently living in the ‘Meghalaya Age’ of the earth's history.  As per geologists, this phase of earth began some 4,200 years ago, and continues till today. The defining moment of earth's history was named after the Indian state, after a stalagmite from a cave in Meghalaya helped in defining climatic events which marked the beginning of the phase. The concept of the Meghalaya was first proposed seven years ago, due to specific chemical signatures found in stalactites and stalagmites. The Meghalaya Age began with a mega global drought that devastated ancient agricultural civilisations from Egypt to China. It is part of a longer period known as the Holocene Epoch, which reflects everything that has happened over the past 11,700 years. The Meghalaya, is unique because it is the first interval in Earth's geological history that coincided with a major cultural event, as agricultural societies struggled to recover from the shift in climate, said Stanley Finney, secretary general of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS). Evidence of the climatic event has been found in sediments on all seven continents, including those from Meghalaya. The droughts over a 200-year period resulted in human migrations in Egypt, Greece, Syria, Palestine, Mesopotamia, the Indus valley and the Yangtze river valley. Meghalaya has a vast system of caves, some of them which have not even been explored and mapped. The natural sandstone cave system is the longest in the world and dates back to at least 70 million years. We have about 1,700 caves in Meghalaya as of now and over a 1,000 of them have been explored. We have already mapped 491 km of cave passage, which in a small state like Meghalaya, is astounding.

NALBARI, July 21 - For over 80 years, the villagers of Garamchung and ten of its adjoining villages along the border of Kamrup and Nalbari district have been crossing the Baralia river by small country boats under very risky conditions. Developmental activities initiated by the Government after independence have failed to touch the lives of the remote villages. The Garamchung Ghat of the Baralia river is owned by the PWD authority and the department has been providing a boat along with a boatman to help the villagers navigate the river. The boatman named Rajib Das told this Correspondent that hundreds of villagers cross the river from 7 am to 8 pm daily. A small boat is the only means of communication of the villagers in order to cross the deep river. Oft-repeated popular slogans of development by the Government seem to fall flat in the villages which have remained underdeveloped in all the sectors. A housewife of the village named Anima Das said her children had to cross the river by the small boat in order to reach school. Risking life and limb, the children avail the boat service even during the monsoon season, when the river is in spate. The village woman therefore demanded the concerned authority to construct a bridge at Garamchung Ghat of Baralia river in order to ameliorate their collective plight.

July 26, 2018: There may be traces of radioactive particles in your red wine.Recall that the accident Fukushima occurred on March 11, 2011 quake and tsunami. Inspired by similar tests conducted in the aftermath of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, the French team chose to analyse the California wines for traces of radioactive particles, specifically cesium-137, a man-made isotope. But researchers note that the use of such wine does not affect human health, because of the isotopes it is still less than radiation in the environment. In 2001, one of the researchers in this new effort discovered that he could date bottles of unopened wine by testing them for cesium-137 levels. The authors of the study examined 18 bottles of wine, either rosé or cabernet sauvignon, and found the man-made isotope in increasing levels, and since it's only released into nature after radioactive events, it could be easily traced to Fukushima. After failing to detect cesium-137 in the unopened bottles, the physicists vaporized the wine. As per this MIT report, radiation and wines are not too far from each other - nearly every bottle of wine that was made after 1952 contains some radioactive particles. The amount of isotope in wine is below the natural background radiation that exists around the world.

ECLIPSE PHOTOS BY ME on 27/28 July 2018:
July 27-28, 2018: LUNARCLIPSE: This month's lunar eclipse is particularly long due to the position of the moon because it slips into the earth's shadow. When the Sun, Earth and Moon are alliances, then the Earth gives birth to a shadow which projects in the shape of a fictional cone. The eclipse will take place on July 27-28 and its duration will be 1 hour 43 minutes. On July 27, another celestial event ' Blood Moon' would be occurred. The lunar eclipse occurs at full Moon and the solar eclipse at new Moon, she added. Red light from the Sun is also easier to see with the naked eye at dusk.

Jul 27, 2018, 16:54 PM IST: Lunar Eclipse: Blood moon in India can be seen at 10:44 pm. Today the world will experience a magnificent celestial event. From 1:15 am to 2:43 am, the moon will be in the middle of the Earth’s shadow and will appear reddish in colour. The longest total lunar eclipse of this century, also known as the Super Blood Moon will take place on the intervening night of July 27th and 28th. The eclipse is the longest one because it has a duration of 1 hour and 43 minutes. Lunar eclipse will coincide with Mars' coming closest to the Earth in 15 years. Our neighbouring planet will appear unusually large and bright, a mere 57.7 million km (35.9 million miles) from Earth on its elliptical orbit around the sun.
Today (July 27), if you are in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, southern Asia or on a boat somewhere in the Indian Ocean, you will be able to watch the moon dip entirely into Earth's shadow during the total lunar eclipse. Sky watchers in Australia and South America will also be able to see the eclipse, but only in its partial form. Viewers in North America can watch the event via live webcasts. The partial eclipse begins at 3:30 p.m. EDT (1930 GMT), when Earth's shadow will begin to darken a portion of the moon. Maximum eclipse occurs at 4:21 p.m. EDT (2021 GMT), and the eclipse ends at 5:13 p.m. EDT (2113 GMT).

OBSERVATION: FORTUNATE DUE TO THE CLOUD WEATHER:
1. Fig.12.22 weather concealed the Moon; WP_20180727_20_42_29_Pro. Fig.12.23. Faint spectrum of Moon concealed by weather WP_20180727_20_43_48_Pro. This on 27 July 2018 obviously Moon light was prevalent and the idea of colour of the light from the Moon was just ordinary and no modifications of the reflected light from Earth is dominant.
2. Fig.12.33 The moon will be in the middle of the Earth’s shadow  and will appear reddish in colour. 3. It is indeed a fine observation by the present author that the Reddish tinge of the Moon spectrum is completely covered by the Earth plus luckily for the author by the clouds. As a result the Moon light Red passed through the clouds and incident upon the Earth's surface. What mesmerises the author is that this reflected light RED from the Moon fell on the surface of Earth and eventually, rebound on to the clouds. They turned it away on to the Earth, without the Red light passing through the clouds, As a result the FAR-INFRA-RED light bounced back on to the Earth. This is remarkably a fine and exemplary observation by the author, Professor. Dr.  K. Lakshmi Narayana.
4. This observation is outstanding in the sense that the Red glow (obviously due to the Earth) of the Moon during the Lunar Eclipse fell back on to the Earth. What I  found that this reflected light from the Lunar surface bounced back on to the clouds, a fortunate happening in Visakhapatnam only, and the FAR-INFRA-RED light emitted on the Earth from the clouds. My two photographs of 28 July 2018 taken around 02h31m within a few seconds do indeed showed the superposition of both the RED light and as well the FAR-INFRA-RED lights respectively.
NOTE: A previous description of this observation was lost, today, but I could recapture my observations and present it afresh.

We have observed a loss in phumdi area that is equivalent to more than double the increase in agricultural areas in a span of 38 years from 1977 to 2015 (from the pre-barrage to post-barrage period)

The author Professor Dr. K. Lakshmi Narayana, is indebted to Late Prof. K. R. Rao D.Sc.(Madras) D.Sc.(London) for his guidance and inspiration to present these articles on my website. He is grateful to his mother Late Mrs. Peramma Rangadhama Rao for her sustained interest in my ventures. She first told me to watch the bright meteors splashing on earth and said they carry with them the new life to be born on earth eventually. The brighter the meteors the vivid and intelligent people would be born. Recent finding of water on Mars interior and on Asteroids, supports the speculation of life world wide distributed randomly!   It would be good idea to capture the livingness in Asteroids and revive the late life!!!                                                                                                                                  *******************************
