ABSTRACT
A model presented of the surprising month of May 2015 that recorded maximum temperatures in Rajasthan, Gujarat,  Telangana, Andhra and Odisha belt of heat wave this year. The model identifies the belt around Rajasthan, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra and Odisha contrasted with sand storms originating from Iraq, Iran and Pakistan that engulfed Delhi and other places in the North India. Demarcation is very clear cut. So far more than 1,400 people have died in the state of Andhra Pradesh.  Present study identifies the dual system of Sand Storms and the Heat Wave conditions in India mostly the later arising from the Rajasthan desert area.

17th Storm Auckland, New Zealand

Relief workers tried desperately on Tuesday, Cyclone Pam Monday March 16th 2015, to reach Vanuatu's remote outer islands that were smashed by a monstrous cyclone, as the United Nations reported that 24 people were confirmed dead and 3,300 displaced by the storm that tore through the South Pacific archipelago. Radio and telephone communications with hard-hit outer islands were just beginning to be restored, but remained incredibly patchy three days after what the country's president called a "monster" storm.

Tokyo: Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced on Thursday a $110 billion investment plan for infrastructure projects in Asia in an apparent counter to China's move to launch a new development bank. Abe said in a speech in Tokyo that Japan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will boost their assistance by 30 per cent to offer the massive investment aid under a five-year public-private partnership vision.

Delhi's summer misery sees no respite as maximum temperature in the city takes a toll as each new day passes. Maximums have been rising in Delhi and NCR and keeping with the trend, they have increased even further. On Monday, the Safdarjung observatory recorded 45.5°C as the maximum temperature. In Palam, maximum touched a new high of 46.4°C. Highest of the season for both the Observatories of Delhi. The temperature is also the second highest for both the Observatories in last ten years. The highest  in last ten years were recorded on 24th May, 2013.

SUMMER WEATHER IN INDIA
Grip of heat wave
Temperatures have been rising in Central, Northwest, parts of East and Peninsular India for the last few days. Heat wave will continue over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, parts of Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand during the next couple of days. Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh are reeling under hot weather conditions for last couple of days. The Safdarjung observatory in Delhi saw the day temperature settle at 43.6°C, on Friday. Heat wave conditions prevail at the Palam airport with maximum at 45.2°C, which is 5 degrees above the normal average. Friday was undoubtedly the hottest day of the season.

Heat wave toll rose to 432 in Telangana (246) and Andhra (186). Nalgonda alone reports 58 deaths.

IN VISAKHAPATNAM

It became cloudy in the afternoon from 2 pm to 4 pm but didn't rain on Monday 25th March 2015. Again on Tuesday 26th May 2015,morning it was cloudy but no rain nor summer heat lowered. People bathing from 2 pm to 8 pm everyday to bear the summer heat. But Wednesday it became cool and in the afternoon it was cloudy weather.

LAND SLIDE BLOCKS NEPAL RIVER

On Monday 25th May 2015 thousands of panic-stricken people fled their homes fearing flash floods after an overnight landslide blocked in midnight, into Kali Gandaki river in Myagdi district about 140 kms northwest of Kathmandu,  in quake-hit Nepal's mountainous northwest that raised water levels by 150 meters (490 feet). Two-km artificial water lake was overflowing.  The hard rocks blocking the river have to be cut but sudden surge might be dangerous.  It could bring floods in districts of Parabat, Syangja, Gulmi, Palpa, Nawalparasi and Chitwan.

WINDOWS THAT LIGHT UP

26th May 2015
Heatwave toll reached 333 in Andhra and 199 in Telangana.

29th May 2015
Visakhapatnam became some what cool on the eve of 29th May 2015.

This map doesn't reveal the observations of the present author that the heat wave in India mostly arise from the  Rajasthan desert region of India.

Below the map reveals the distinct regions of Sand storms and the Heat Wave conditions in India.

The present study notes that the sand storms from the Iran, Iraq and Pakistan effected Delhi and heat wave conditions over Rajasthan, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra and Odisha states form a different 'semi-circular' chain of places.

Present study identifies the dual system of Sand Storms and the Heat Wave conditions in India mostly the later arising from the Rajasthan desert area.

The death toll in India’s heatwave has climbed towards 1,500 as the country sweltered in one of the worst bouts of hot weather for several years. Southern India has borne the brunt of the sudden spell of hot, dry weather. So far more than 1,000 people have died in the state of Andhra Pradesh.  The death toll in neighboring Telangana, where temperatures hit 48 C (118 F) over the weekend, stood at 340.The massive heatwave sweeping India is starting to ease, with forecasts of rain in some affected states.
Officials say nearly 1,700 people have died in the worst-hit states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, where temperatures rose above 45C (113F). Clouds have formed over some parts of the two states and weather officials say pre-monsoon showers are likely to provide some relief on Friday.

The heat waves in Vijayawada, Nellore, Machilipatnam, and few other areas in the state recorded 41 deg C and so. Deaths have also been reported in Delhi and other states, including Gujarat and Odisha, where temperatures earlier this week peaked at a sweltering 116.6°F (47°C).

In 2003, a heat wave led to 3,000 deaths in Andhra Pradesh. Records indicate that it is likely that the numbers of cold days and nights have decreased and the numbers of warm days and nights have increased across most of Asia since about 1950.
Note:Heat wave has not only gripped the plains of North India, but the hills are also experiencing hot and uncomfortable conditions during day time. Some of the places in the region are observing heat wave conditions, which are making matters worse. For example, Shimla,  the most favored holiday destination of North India saw the day temperature settle 5 degrees above the monthly normal at 29.3°C, which amounts to heat wave. March to May is the peak time for tourism in the hills. Thousands of tourists flock to the hill states of Jammu and Kashmir.

Before Pushkaralu dry Godavari raises concern. In worst case of scenario 3  to 4 tmc of SRSP water would be released which will cover Pushkar ghats from Adilabad to Khammam.

A sudden and massive ice loss in a previously stable region of Antarctica is causing small changes in the gravity field of the Earth, a new study has found. "To date, the glaciers added roughly 300 cubic km of water to the ocean. The changes were observed using the CryoSat-2 satellite, a mission of the European Space Agency dedicated to remote-sensing of ice. By analysing roughly 5 years of the data, the researchers found that the ice surface of some of the glaciers is currently going down by as much as 4m each year.

INDIA WEATHER OF THE HOT SUMMER 2015

An interesting observation by the author is that Rajasthan desert state, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra and Odisha states fell in line of the hot summer season of this year 2015 from almost the middle of the month of May. Only today the weather in Visakhapatnam was cordial and am able to move out around 4.30 pm.

Many deaths throughout India and especially in the Andhra and Telangana are reported. In the later two states it was around 900 people as per today's 27th May 2015 news.

A very active typhoon season combined with drought in much of India could have a significant impact on lives and property for more than a billion people in Asia during the summer of 2015.

THURSDAY 28TH MAY 2015

Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions prevailed at a few places over Odisha and coastal AP. Heat wave conditions prevailed at a few places over west MP, Jharkhand and at isolated places over east MP, Vidharbha, Chhattisgarh, Utter Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Telangana. Thunderstorms accompanied by squall  occurred at isolated places over Punjab, coastal AP, interior Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and south interior Karnataka. EVEREST IN DANGER

Scientists warn Everest glaciers are at risk of disappearing with at least 70% entirely by the end of 2100 due to change in climate. Shrinking glaciers could affect water supplies in the Everest with volumes of snow melt flowing into DUDH KOSI RIVER.  Nepal, the Netherlands and France report that weather patterns on the Everest  indicate that impact of rising temperatures on the glaciers.

SCANNING KIDNEYS

Prof P. Rajalakshmi Dept.of Elec.  Engg, in IIT, Hyderabad achieved a software that can be used by semi-skilled persons to use ultrasound imaging to perform preliminary diagnosis. 2014 IEEE 16th Int. Conf. on e-Health Networking Applications and Service. About 10 features are needed to to classify a kidney as normal or not. The organ validation algorithm and CAD can be integrated with ultrasound machines.

SOUTHERN AFRICA

An unprecedented drought which has not been witnessed for the last decade is affecting most parts of southern Africa from southern Angola to Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia. This severe drought has led to crop failure in the region. Major food shortage is being felt in the region. It might be safe to say that the situation in Southern parts of Africa is not good at all and it is likely to become harsher.

AMERICA
The places which have maximum impact include Los Angeles, San Francisco both in California and Reno, Nevada.  In fact, in San Francisco there has been a rain-less January this year and this has happened for the first time in 165 years since 1893.

HEATWAVE TOLL
The nationwide death toll on Friday rose to 2005 as the intense heat wave conditions continued with Palama in Jharkhand recording 47 deg C. AP and Telangana accounted for 1979 deaths.
Districts of Adilabad, Nizambad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, and Nalgonda of Telangana continue to have heat wave conditions following Friday 29th May 2015. Total deaths to-date is 489 with 49 on Friday.
Indian Express reports that Visakhapatnam would receive Rainfall in next 24 hours news Saturday 30, 2015.
Monsoon to miss date with Kerala. The south-west monsoon will hit Kerala coast with a couple of days delayed. Below monsoon season from June 1st to September 30th.
Low water storage in key reservoirs for the entire country almost in 15 states, due to the heat wave. There are only six states where water storage is better than last year. Water available in 91% reservoirs of the country as on May 28th, 215 was only 43.24 BCM which is 27% of total storage capacitives of these reservoirs. Himchala Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarkhand, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu states have better water storage.

 TOKYO VOLCANO

A violent volcanic eruption in Japan forced evacuation of an Island on Friday 29th May 2015, as huge columns of ash was shot high into the sky. Plume reached 29500 feet rocketed from Mount Shindake on the far southern island of Kuchinoerabu.

The magnitude-8.5 offshore quake struck off the Ogasawara islands at a depth of 590 km the Japan Meteorological Agency said. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake had a magnitude of 7.8 and a depth of 678 km. Buddhist altar violently swayed like I have never experienced before said an observer. A separate 6.2-magnitude quake struck on Sunday morning off the Izu Islands south of Tokyo, which are north of the Ogasawaras at 8:24 p.m. Saturday.. Japan sits at the meeting place of four tectonic plates and experiences around 20% of the world’s most powerful earthquakes every year. But rigid building codes and strict enforcement mean even powerful quakes frequently do little damage. the 7.8-magnitude earthquake was centered 874 km (543 miles) from the Japanese capital, at a depth of more than 660 km. The earthquake struck at 20:30 local time (11:30 GMT). Buildings in the capital swayed for almost a minute as the quake built in intensity.

Mild tremors were also felt at many parts in north India including Delhi. Mild tremors were felt in New Delhi and the National Capital Region for nearly a minute this evening, triggering panic as people living in high-rises rushed out of the buildings.

There were reports of tremors being felt in Japan’s main island of Honshu, where train services were stalled as a result of power failure. Well, Japan would definitely be on high alert after successive days of being under threat, firstly with the volcanic eruption and later the earthquake. One will have to wait for the reports to know if there is any connection between Mount Shindake Volcano Eruption with the earthquake.

Monsoon arrived over Andaman and Nicobar Islands on May 16, three days prior to the onset date. Since then, the advance has been slow. By May 21, the southwest monsoon advanced over Bay of Bengal touching southern parts of Sri Lanka. But here on, the monsoon stagnated for a week. The Arabian Sea branch of the southwest monsoon made very slow advance and is yet to reach the extreme southern tip (Kerala) of India.

ROSENBERG, Texas:
The rain has ended in North Texas and Oklahoma, but residents in Greater Houston warily eyed the swollen, yet-to-crest Brazos River and the skies, which threatened to drop up to 5 additional inches of rain late Saturday afternoon and evening. The Brazos River southwest of Houston was the main area of concern on Saturday as floodwaters moved from North and Central Texas downstream toward the Gulf of Mexico. At least 31 people have been killed in storms that began in Texas and Oklahoma last weekend. Twenty-seven of the deaths have been in Texas alone, and 11 people were missing Saturday. It may be a 150 or 200 years event since until recently was suffering a severe drought.
