It may sound like a super-natural myth, but the idea that human consciousness lives on after death has been put forward by a number of well-respected scientists. And the British scientist at the forefront of the eerie theory claims that humans have souls which don't die along with the body. We many not know exactly what consciousness is, but physicist Sir Roger Penrose believes that it's just a packet of information stored at a quantum or sub-atomic-level. Sensationally, he claims to have found evidence that this information, which is stored in microtubules within human cells, leaves the body after a person dies. Sir Roger has argued that when a person dies temporarily, this quantum information is released into the universe, only to return to the body's cells if the host is brought back to life. He argues that this explains why people can have near-death experiences, and believes that this quantum information amounts to a soul leaving the body. The physics expert said: "If the patient dies, it's possible that this quantum information can exist outside the body, perhaps indefinitely, as a soul. And Sir Roger is not alone in believing this, since his theory is backed by researchers at the renowned Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich. Experts there argue that our physical universe is just a perception, and that once our bodies die there is an infinite life beyond.

It is very chilli since early morning possibly the winter weather is setting now in Visakhapatnam.
19 Nov 2016
It was hot in Visakhapatnam, though night time the cold spell continued. The North Pole is 36 degrees hotter than it should be right now.

Temperatures near the North Pole are an unheard of 36°F (20°C) warmer than average right now, researchers have reported. The Arctic is currently in the midst of polar night, where the Sun hardly ever rises. Usually, it’s the time when things get really cold and vast, thick ice sheets form for the winter.

Double Rainbow with reversed View

Twice refracted Sun rays in the rain-water results in two rainbows but the colours appeared reversed. The first rainbow last colour red in the second rainbow becomes the first. Once at 42 degrees and second time at 51 degrees the sun rays get refracted.
The present author observed the reversed rainbows at Eluru town with the reversed lower rainbow below the first one a feature peculiar and only possible at Eluru town in India.

Mon Nov 21, 2016, 8:27 AM IST: Strong quake hits near Argentina, Chile border, no damage reported
A strong quake hit western Argentina, shaking buildings as far away as Santiago, the capital of neighbouring Chile, though there were no reports of damage to people, infrastructure or basic services. Chile's navy ruled out a tsunami after the quake, USA said it was a magnitude 6.4. Both Chilean and Argentine authorities said there were no reports of injuries or damage. The quake's epicentre was 14 miles (24 km) southwest of the Argentine town of San Juan, and about 165 miles (267 km) northeast of Santiago in Chile. The tremor was initially reported as a magnitude 6.7 but was later downgraded.

GRAVIMETRY SETUP

Fig.6 Sensitive Gravimetry set up.
Published in Physical Review Letters Vol.117 the device uses a cloud of ultra-cold atoms which are trapped in a cm-size chip using lasers and magnets. This is allowed to fall and using laser split into two parts, which are routed through different paths. When the two parts recombine the interference pattern gives a measure of the gravitational field on them. The atoms were super cooled to form a Bose condensate of 10,000 atoms to form a condensate, in about 15 s,  with a diameter about a hundred times smaller than a non-BC atom. This lies just below the surface of the cm-sized chip. The laser used to make the kick, with the cloud split a part shoots up while the other falls without feeling the kick. The two different paths are followed  with the part that was kicked having followed a longer path.

JAPAN EARTHQUAKE
Japan has lifted the tsunami advisories issued after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit its eastern coast Iwaki city 21 Nov 2016. The quake struck near Fukushima at about 06:00 local time (21:00 GMT Monday), triggering initial warnings of 3 m (9.8 ft) high waves. The waves which eventually hit the coast were much smaller. Thousands were asked to evacuate the area and minor injuries were reported. Tsunami of up to 90 centimeters recorded. 1.4 metre tsunami hits Sendai. 1 metre tsunami at Fukushima nuclear plant.

The Japan Meteorological Agency says a magnitude-6.1 earthquake struck Thursday morning off the shore of southern Fukushima prefecture. The agency said that there may be slight changes in sea levels, but there is no risk of damage from a tsunami. The U.S.G.S recorded the magnitude at 5.6. The earthquake was reportedly felt as far away as Tokyo, 140 miles southwest of the epicentre.
Meanwhile, an earthquake of 5.6 magnitude and 30 km depth hit an area 200 km north east of the New Zealand capital, Wellington.

MELBOURNE Australia
A rare condition known as thunderstorm asthma sent hundreds of people to hospitals in Australia’s second-largest city, and four deaths had been confirmed by Wednesday 23 Nov 2016 evening. Tuesday morning after the wild thunderstorm in Melbourne on Monday 21 Nov 2016, night caused rain-sodden ryegrass pollen to explode and disperse over the city. The pollen caused asthma attacks in some patients who had never suffered from asthma before. Ambulance Victoria responded to more than 1,870 cases, which was six-times the usual workload for a Monday evening.

On 24 January 1809, the East India Company ship the Admiral Gardner departed from London bound for Madras. It carried a cargo of iron, guns, anchors, and 48 tons of company coins, currency for the workers in India. As the ship passed the coast of Kent, a fierce gale blew in. It ran aground on the Goodwin Sands along with two other East India ships that same night. Efforts to save the ship were futile, although somewhat miraculously, only one life was lost. These three East India Company ships, as well as the HMS Stirling Castle, are just a few of more than 1,000 shipwrecks buried beneath the Goodwin Sands. Some believe the number of wrecks may be as high as 2,000.

In their search for the underlying mechanism behind surface melting, the team in Japan, used a special optical microscope jointly developed with Olympus Corp. to observe how thin water layers, or quasi-liquid layers (QLLs), are born and disappear at various temperatures and vapour pressure levels. The team discovered that QLLs form only when the surface of ice is growing or sublimating, under supersaturated or unsaturated vapour conditions. This finding strongly suggests that QLLs are a meta-stable transient state formed through vapour growth and sublimation of ice, but are absent at equilibrium. (Seven Days ago news).

A surprise geyser shot water high into the air from New Zealand's Lake Rotorua early on Monday 28 Nov morning, panicking some local residents. The eruptions at about 04:30 local time (15:30 GMT Sunday) woke people living in Ohinemutu, on New Zealand's North Island. Reports said the water reached heights of between seven and 30m (23-98ft).

An avalanche triggered by an earthquake Monday November 28,  at 8:48 AM on in a mountainous area of Nepal killed a Sherpa mountain guide and injured a British climber who had to be rescued by helicopter. The magnitude-5.4 earthquake sent people fleeing from their houses and caused snow and ice to roll down the slopes of Mount Ama Dablam, located just south of Mount Everest. The Sherpa guide and British climber were hit by falling chucks of ice at an altitude of about 6,000 meters (19,680 feet) on the mountain, said of Himalayan Guides Nepal, which organized and equipped the expedition. A rescue helicopter used long ropes to pull them off the mountain. The guide died on the way to the base camp and the climber was flown to a hospital in Kathmandu for treatment.
