ABSTRACT

Sydney swelters through hottest December 16, 2016 night on record.  Indian Scientist S. Bhattacharyya, from TIFR with a co-author from MIT, US claims that a neutron star can emit continuously the Gravitational Waves, a break-through finding. A 7.9R earthquake struck Papua New Guinea on Saturday, 17 Dec 2016, but no immediate casualties were reported. The earthquake struck 60 km to the east of Taron, New Ireland, at 8h51m PM local time (1051 GMT) at a depth of some 75 km. Huge dead zone estimated 60,000 sq. km found near Bay of Bengal, an area with no oxygen or just little oxygen, some 10,000 times less than that found in the air-saturated surface waters, and supports microbial processes that remove vast amounts of nitrogen from the ocean. A controversial theory suggests gravity is not a fundamental force of nature at all, but rather an 'emergent phenomenon'. This year the solstice occurs on Wednesday December 21st at 10:44 GMT (Universal time). On Dec 22,  the world's first solar highway has been opened in Normandy France, in the not-very-sunny village of Tourouvre au Perche in Normandy. The roadway is just one kilometre (0.6mi) long, but that still works out at 2,800 square metres of photovoltaic cells. The hurricane force 120mph winds of Storm Barbara have battered on 23 Dec. in UK today even tipping over lorries in the north.  It was said on Dec 24 that the ten Delhi Metro stations to go cashless from January 1, 2017. All these stations have over 70 percent Smart Card users. A typhoon slammed into central Philippines late on Sunday, bringing strong winds and heavy rains and cutting off power, but there were no immediate reports of casualties. Typhoon Nock-ten was packing maximum sustained winds of 115 mph (185 km/h) with gusts up to 140 mph (255 km/h) when it made landfall over Catanduanes province, which was under the highest storm alert, on the Bicol peninsula on Sunday evening. The typhoon made a second landfall over Camarines Sur province, then weakened slightly with winds of 109 mph (175 km/h) but gusts at 180 mph (290 km/h).  Another slight intensity earthquake of 3.5R has jolted Uttarkashi district on Monday 26 Dec 2016, afternoon, fifth tremor in the current month. The quake was mainly felt around Purola tehsil on Uttarkashi-Dehradun border. Earthquake tremors of 3.2 magnitude felt in Mandi, at 05:55 on Dec 27, in Himachal Pradesh. On 27 December 2016 at 12:31 am. M 4.6R, 150km NW of Kota Ternate, Indonesia: Time: 2016-12-26 21:36:34 UTC. 2016-12-27 05:36:34 +08:00 at epicentre: Location: 1.867°N 126.545°E: Depth 34.24 km (21.28 mi).  Shimla a second time within the season of 2016 gets a Snowfall at 09:24 on the 27 Dec. An MIRV payload technically means that a single Agni-VI will be capable of carrying several nuclear warheads, each programmed to hit different targets. In between, the Strategic Forces Command (SFC) is also expected to conducts user-trials of the 4,000-km Agni-IV missile, in the first week of January in India. During the last five days 25 to 31 Dec., the Visakhapatnam city was experiencing very cold weather and the sun light was very meagre and weather remained cloudy, but with the subdued sun light throughout the day. An earthquake 6.2R under water struck on Friday 30 Dec. off the island of Sumbawa, Indonesia.  On 31 Dec 2016 the Visakhapatnam felt very cold but the night temperatures were 1 to 2 degrees higher.

Satellites help discover a jet stream in the Earth's core

A jet stream within the Earth's molten iron core has been discovered by scientists using the latest satellite data that helps create an 'x-ray' view of the planet. Swarm satellites are providing our sharpest x-ray image yet of the core. We've not only seen this jet stream clearly for the first time, but we understand why it's there. We can explain it as an accelerating band of molten iron circling the North Pole, like the jet stream in the atmosphere, said Dr Livermore, from the School of Earth and Environment at Leeds. Because of the core's remote location under 3,000 kilometres of rock, for many years scientists have studied the Earth's core by measuring the planet's magnetic field, one of the few options available. Previous research had found that changes in the magnetic field indicated that iron in the outer core was moving faster in the northern hemisphere, mostly under Alaska and Siberia. But new data from the Swarm satellites has revealed these changes are actually caused by a jet stream moving at more than 40 kilometres per year.

Huge dead zone estimated 60,000 sq. km found near Bay of Bengal, an area with no oxygen or just little oxygen, some 10,000 times less than that found in the air-saturated surface waters, and supports microbial processes that remove vast amounts of nitrogen from the ocean. Dead zones are well known off the western coasts of North and South America, off the coast of Namibia and off the west coast of Indian in the Arabian Sea.

A 5.7 MAGNITUDE earthquake followed by 37 aftershocks rattled Ecuador’s Pacific coast before dawn, causing three deaths and heavy damage to hotels and homes in resort towns. The quake struck in the Pacific off Atacames and was followed by aftershocks registering as high as 4.2, the Geophysical Institute reported. It said the earthquake hit 5.7 after first reporting its magnitude was 5.8. The quakes knocked out electricity in several areas of Esmeraldas but power was later restored.

GRAVITY NOT FUNDAMENTAL FORCE
A theory published earlier this year claims our understanding of gravity, that was first proposed by Einstein, could be completely wrong. Now for the first time, this controversial theory has been tested experimentally and has held its ground. An independent study of the distribution of gravity around more than 30,000 galaxies found evidence to back the theory and if confirmed, it could rewrite physics entirely. Professor Erik Verlinde from the University of Amsterdam published the 'Verlinde's hypothesis of gravity', earlier this year. The paper was an attempt to solve the mystery of Dark Matter. When studying stars and galaxies, astronomers have found the forces of gravity appear stronger than expected. The outer regions of galaxies, like our own Milky Way, rotate much faster around the centre than can be accounted for by the quantity of ordinary matter like stars, planets and interstellar gasses. Traditionally, physicists have explained this inconsistency by assuming there must be something else out there we cannot see called dark matter. Dark Matter particles have never been observed, despite many efforts to detect them, and astronomers currently infer their presence through observing certain gravitational effects on the matter we can see. Professor Verlinde says we need to rethink gravity, removing Dark Matter from the equation completely. To do so, his controversial theory suggests gravity is not a fundamental force of nature at all, but rather an 'emergent phenomenon'.

This year the solstice occurs on Wednesday December 21, at 10:44 GMT (Universal time). The winter solstice happens every year when the Sun reaches its most southerly declination of -23.5 degrees. In other words, when the North Pole is tilted farthest, 23.5 degrees, away from the Sun, delivering the fewest hours of sunlight of the year.

SANKARACHARYA, BUDDHA AND KAABALIKAS
Sankara’s time marked the ascendancy of the Buddhists and the Kaabalikas. (Refer Sankara’s Lakshmi Narasimha Karavalamba Stotram). Even Nammazhwar refers to the avatara of Buddha as a mask put on by Vishnu in order to sow the seeds of doubt, dissension and heresy amongst non-believers as a chastisement for their folly and subsequent redemption. (Kalla Vedam Pugundhu, Chapter 5 10-4- Thiruvaimozhi).

World's First Solar Road Opens in Normandy, France. The world's first solar highway has been opened in France, in the not-very-sunny village of Tourouvre au Perche in Normandy. The roadway is just one kilometre (0.6mi) long, but that still works out at 2,800 square metres of photovoltaic cells, enough, hopefully, to power the village's street lights. The road was built by Colas, a large Anglo-French construction company. Colas has apparently been working on its own solar road tech, called Wattway, for at least five years.  Wattway has been tested in car parks, but this is the first time it has been used on an active road. There will now be a two-year test period, to see if Wattway can withstand the rigour of being pounded by thousands of cars and trucks per day, and whether it can actually provide a useful amount of electricity.

Fig.5 The surprising snow fall in Sahara desert on Dec 22, 2016
Most of Britain may not see a white Christmas this year, but the SAHARA could after snow fell on the desert for only the second time, in living memory. Red sands turned white as icy flakes fell near the small Algerian town of Ain Sefra yesterday afternoon. The last time snow fell on the dunes of the Sahara, the world's largest hot desert, was 37 years ago. The amazing sight was documented in pictures by amateur photographer Karim Bouchetata. Snow was last seen in Ain Sefra, known as the Gateway to the Desert, on February 18, 1979. Then, the snow storm lasted just half an hour. But this time flakes stayed for about day in the town, which is around 1,000 metres above sea level and surrounded by the Atlas Mountains.

EARTH'S CRUST
In what is being described as a kind of 'jet stream' of molten iron surging 3000 km below the surface, scientists have come a lot closer to understanding the earth's crust. The discovery was made by a trio of European Space Agency’s Swarm satellites that mapped the earth's magnetic field to collect data. This stream, reported to be about 420-km wide, is currently flowing westwards below Alaska and Siberia.

Sunday 25 Dec. 2016: MANILA:       A typhoon slammed into central Philippines late on Sunday, bringing strong winds and heavy rains and cutting off power, but there were no immediate reports of casualties. Typhoon Nock-ten was packing maximum sustained winds of 115 mph (185 kph) with gusts up to 140 mph (255 kph) when it made landfall over Catanduanes province, which was under the highest storm alert, on the Bicol peninsula on Sunday evening. The typhoon made a second landfall over Camarines Sur province, then weakened slightly with winds of 109 mph (175 kph) but gusts at 180 mph (290 kph). About 20 major typhoons pass through the Philippines each year. Since 1948, at least seven have hit during the Christmas period.

SANTIAGO, Chile, Dec., 25, 2016 at 11:29 AM ET

A powerful earthquake shook southern Chile on Sunday, prompting officials to order an evacuation of coastal areas to guard against a possible tsunami. The U.S. Geological Survey put the quake's magnitude at 7.6 and said it struck at 11:22 a.m. local time near the southern tip of Chiloe Island, about 25 miles south-southwest of Puerto Quello and at a depth of 22 miles. The area, some 800 miles south of the capital of Santiago, is relatively sparsely populated.
Almost exactly six months after the Nepal earthquake that killed nearly 10,000 people, an earthquake of similar magnitude hit north-west Afghanistan today, tremors of which were felt through most of north India, including New Delhi. Today’s earthquake, measured 7.5 on the Richter scale, had its epicentre at a place about 50 km southwest of the city of Jarm near Afghanistan’s border with Tajikistan. The place is about 254 km north-east of Kabul. The earthquake originated about 210 km below the earth’s surface.

According to reports, the soon-to-be-launched Agni-VI missile will be armed with manoeuvring warheads or intelligent re-entry vehicles to defeat enemy defence systems or MIRVs (multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicles). An MIRV payload technically means that a single Agni-VI will be capable of carrying several nuclear warheads, each programmed to hit different targets. In between, the Strategic Forces Command (SFC) is also expected to conducts user-trials of the 4,000-km Agni-IV missile, in the first week of January.

ABSTRACT:  Hindu discoverers, identified the Gravity (Gurutva Akarshana) by observing the fall off a Coconut, from the tree near the beach shore of an Ocean, to postulate the existence of a Shakti (force), termed the centric that holds the world. They haven’t identified mass as a means of the attractive spectacle. Moreover, they asserted the Shakti in terms of time, it takes for the Coconut to fall down from the tree. Of course, Newton thought of a falling apple on the ground. The difference between them is presence of an Ocean! And the time of fall. Gurutva Akarshana Shakti, is what Hindu originators, termed it. “Graviton Ripples” is a subject by itself, devoid of the thoughts of usual Gravitation and its manifestations. Projection of it as an independent entity, though being a part of Gravitation that holds the entire universe is a marvellous departure from the conventional notion of Gravitation and its existence. Gravitational Waves, devoid of Einstein thoughts, is a presently an astounding feature in literature, and many experiments are being devised and studied, in recent times to ascertain the happenings in the Galaxy medium. Conversion of the combination of Black Holes, within fraction of a second, to newer stupendous objects and release of mass-energy has been observed by eminent scientists’ world over. Newer findings are being reported in literature. Gravity disturbances, the present author feels, as the aftershocks following a major Earthquake. Are these in fact Gravity Ripples? Do these ripples traverse the outside universe as well? Microgravity in space, has it any connection, with the happenings in the universe elsewhere? Solid State Earthquakes and the free enterprise of the Gravity Ripples, have anything common in their occurrence? In my opinion “Gravity Ripples” differ from Gravitational Waves. It is bizarre thought to relate topological rangadhama quanta high Tc superconductivity with the gravity disturbances on the earth or earth-like bodies in the universe. The time scales of happenings on the earth or earth-like objects for the topological R-quanta and superconductivity, need to be addressed carefully, since the disturbances do have a slow moving earthly materials.
