18 My, 2019: Prof. Chandramouli Subramaniam and co-researcher and Mihir Kumar Jha of IIT Mumbai find wearable supercapacitor. The idea is when the supercapacitor is integrated with a piezoelectric energy generator then it will become completely self-sustaining. And when stitched to the fabric, the supercapacitor can be used for powering GPS location-based devices or a LED lamp or even charge small electronic devices. So the researchers prepared a solid electrolyte film just 150 micrometre thick by mixing poly vinyl alcohol and potassium hydroxide in appropriate proportions. A 1x1 sq.cm electrolyte will have at least a few hundred capacitors.  The laminated supercapacitor demonstrated unchanged performance even when subjected to extreme and harsh mechanical testing — striking repeatedly with a hammer, complete flexing, bending and rolling, and washing in a laundry machine in the presence of hot water, detergents and high spinning action. “This is possibly the first demonstration of a wearable device that can withstand rigorous washing conditions,” says Jha. Moreover, being lightweight, it does not hinder user movement in any way.
May 19, 2019: 21:08 IST: The mystery of India's vanishing working capital. A huge source of working capital is slipping out of small firms' reach. It will soon trigger a chain reaction. May 19, 2019: 18:44 ISTNASA finds evidence of water on Ultima Thule. Ultima Thule is the farthest world ever explored by mankind. Ultima Thule is a contact binary, with two distinctly differently shaped lobes. At about 36 km long, Ultima Thule consists of a large, strangely flat lobe―nicknamed “Ultima”―connected to a smaller, somewhat rounder lobe―dubbed “Thule”―at a juncture. How the two lobes got their unusual shape is an unanticipated mystery that likely relates to how they formed billions of years ago.

May 20, 2019: 4:03 PM (IST): MELBOURNE: Scientists have discovered 15 new sites in Laos containing over a hundred mysterious 1,000-year-old massive stone jars—similar to those found in India and Indonesia—possibly used to bury the dead. We’ve seen similar megalithic jars in Assam in India and in Sulawesi in Indonesia so we’d like to investigate possible connections in prehistory between these disparate regions. Decorative carving is relatively rare at the jar sites and we don’t know why some discs have animal imagery and others have geometric designs. Among typical iron-age artefacts found with the burials - decorative ceramics, glass beads, iron tools, discs worn in the ears and spindle whorls for cloth making - one particular find piqued the researchers.

It’s the third satellite in what ISRO promises to be multiple RISAT launches in the coming year. At least five. Since a 615-kilogram satellite can monitor the Earth — come rain, come shine — it’s also useful in situations of disaster management. Where ordinary cameras depend on light, RISAT’s active sensor, or SAR, can observe the Earth without clouds or bad weather getting in the way. The two payloads -- Vikram processor and low-cost MEMS-based Inertial Navigation System (INS) were developed by Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), Chandigarh and ISRO Inertial Systems Unit, Thiruvananthapuram respectively.
May 22, 2019: 8:27 PM (IST): Scientists ‘paint’ microscopic Mona Lisa on quantum canvas. Image is barely visible to human eye, with each pixel representing only about 50 atoms. on a quantum ‘canvas’ the width of a human hair. The images were projected and photographed on a blob of gaseous quantum matter known as Bose-Einstein condensate. According to Tyler Neely from University of Queensland in Australia, the artworks were originally a fun side project alongside their more serious research. We never aimed to do this—we were originally looking to better understand the unsolved mysteries of how fluids flow. We then put the image on a projector illuminated by a laser, but instead of projecting it to be large, we send it backwards through a microscope to make the image tiny. This light ‘stamps’ the image on an area around about 100 microns wide—more or less the width of human hair, which can range from between 17 to 181 microns wide. We can then take the image, which is only in black and white, and produce colour shots by producing a ‘red’, ‘blue’, and ‘green’ image, and then combine them on a computer.” The resulting image is barely visible to the human eye, with each pixel representing only about 50 atoms. The researchers believe these initial images are an impressive demonstration of quantum matter as a brand new material for producing art.

23 May 2019: A team of Indian scientists has now developed a new room temperature composite that exhibits high absorption of EMI in the high-frequency range.
This new composite material can absorb electromagnetic radiation. A team of Indian scientists has now developed a new room temperature composite that exhibits high absorption of EMI in the high-frequency range (8-8 gigahertz). The material has shown 99.99 per cent of EMI shielding. In the new material, better shielding performance has been achieved by combining conducting and magnetic materials, which together reduce both electric and magnetic field strength of the radiations by absorbing them. The team used a widely chosen chemical and weather corrosion resistant thermoplastic — Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as the base material. To the matrix of this polymer, conductivity and magnetism was induced by combining carbon black and Strontium-Yttrium-Cobalt-Oxide (SYCO) fillers, resulting in the new composite. The fabrication was done using the solution mixing and coagulation method. SYCO is a room temperature ferromagnetic material which absorbs magnetic radiation, while carbon black is a readily available highly conductive material. The composites were characterised using attenuated total reflectance FTIR spectroscopy. The EMI shielding effectiveness of a material is described by its ability to attenuate the energy of EM radiation, and the fabricated composite displayed a maximum attenuation of EM by enhanced energy absorption. They found that of the 50.2 dB of absorption, 41.2 dB was due to the composite material. “The composite is cost effective and has versatile application potential,” said Ganesanpotti, claiming that, “a 1 to 2.5 mm thick film of this composite can effectively shield EMI in devices like mobile phones and also in radar and military equipment.” The results were tested for room temperature requirements.

May 26, 2019: 4:38 PM (IST): Ancient seawater dating back to Ice Age discovered in Indian Ocean. Scientists have discovered the remnants of seawater dating back to the Ice Age, tucked inside rock formations in the middle of the Indian Ocean. However, when they extracted the water, they noticed their preliminary tests were coming back salty—much saltier than normal seawater. 26 May, 2019: 6:07 pm IST: Indian Ocean is spawning deadly tropical cyclones for a reason. The Indian Ocean is warming rapidly, raising alarm bells for high-intensity storms.  These high intensity storms have been tied to the very warm sea surface temperatures in the Indian Ocean. Temperatures of 30°C are occurring more often and over longer periods of time. This is a result of gradual warming on a global scale, which has resulted in a net increase in ocean temperatures. Warmer ocean temperatures allow stronger storms to form. These conditions are exacerbated by global forcing mechanisms including El Niño and the Indian Ocean Dipole, which concentrates warm ocean waters in smaller geographic areas.

(A.P), Cell 9491902867. ABSTRACT: Both the inner and the outer cores of the Earth are considered to have the Gravitins, a totally new concept. The Inner core, with radius  1216km, has the Iron, Nickel, Sulphur and Magnesium with 10% other minor metals and has mass 13000km^3 with density 0.98e+23kg.
It has about 2.277e+24 Gravitins. On the other hand, the outer core, with a radius of 2270km, has only smaller mass of 3000kg/m^3 with density 1.47e+23kg, in a liquid state. Both the inner and the outer cores, have freely moving 4s2, 4s2 , 3s2 , 3s2 electrons and both the cores are devoid of any magnetic field. It has about 3.4187e+24 Gravitins. The freely moving electrons are combined with the Gravitins. keywords: Gravitins, electrons, minor metals. Details given more in the TELUGU SCRIPT Dated 10-05-2019 PDF production.
