SUMMARY REPORT:
The sudden fog weather has resulted in a chilly cold weather on Sunday evening and the night of Monday 6th Dec 201 0, was very cold. People felt the sudden change in atmosphere with a grudge. The day temperature fell down to 22.9deg C in Visakhapatnam. The South East Monsoon arrived as for the weather report enhanced with the low depression region that turned into a mild cyclonic storm with winds of 35-40kmph. What surprises most people is the sudden chilly weather the onset of it with a bang on Sunday evening and which continued till the morning of Tuesday. The slight sun shine for an half an hour in Visakhapatnam in the afternoon of Tuesday was only momentary. The rain down pour continued relentlessly with a drizzle of rain uninterrupted through the midnight hours. The afternoon and throughout the night of Tuesday it rained heavily and the morning of Wednesday there was sunshine for the relief of the people. The cyclone crossed the land on Wednesday and exited towards the south- southwest on Tuesday about 150km from Visakhapatnam moving towards the North West. The East Godavari District people protected the heaps of harvested rice flowers by covering them with plastic protection cloths. The telengana, Rayalseema, Kadappha, Nellore, Vijayawada, Kurnool, Machillipatnam, Ongole have received heavy continuous since Monday night rains of 10cms. Cotton flowers have become black and the rice changed its color and some places the rice seeds again have sprouted due to the wetness. The phenomenal cold wind has caused certain deaths in Nellore district. The Penna river barrage constructed 150years ago has deteriorated. In Ongole the cotton, Mirchi, Rice, Bengal gram dal, Tobacco and ground nuts crops have been damaged heavily with no possibility of harvesting them for the produce. The cyclone storm crossed the land but on Wednesday 8th December 2010 night throughout it was raining at Visakhapatnam. In Andhra Pradesh people are completely upset with the unwanted rains that destroyed the ripe crops ready for harvesting. From the 5th December to 10th December the Sky at Visakhapatnam was so cloudy that no Astronomy Study was possible.

The 10th Dec 2010 morning gave respite from the rain and the sky is over cast with moving clouds of different constituents. The fog lingered down on the surface of the earth while West has the dark view of clouds and some bright objects, the East offered a bright view of Venus and near stars.
