Q1.  If gravitational ohm law is Vg = Rg. Ig where Rg is “gravitance” in m2/(kg.s) moving in gravitational voltage Vg, yields Rg = π.G. v/ c 2 = μog v/4 where μog = 9.3317E-27m/kg, and gravitational impedance is  Zg = √ (μog/ εog) =2.796E-18 m2/(kg.s) and electromagnetic impedance  is Zo = 376.6 Ω and here Ω is

Q3. “A spinorial theory of continuum mechanics model of light and the Photo-Vector Boson Multiplets” by Prof. K. L. Narayana. M. Inst. P. (Lond) of Shivaji University, suggested the Anti-Photon that differs from photon in the (H4, L) specification, [Tech. Paper No.2 Dt. Sept.2, 1984, REC, Dept of Mathematics, Warangal- 506004 A.P] (Refer: p.3 of  Anti-Photon book by the author on 2nd January 2014, Rangadhama Foundation Publication of December 2013) involves the α matrices suffixed 0,1,2,3,4 that are expressed in terms of topological spinorial charges expressed as Instantons numbering about

Q5. In the Paper No.246, P.139-140, Sect. IV, Chem. Proc.80 Ind. Sci. Cong. Part III, NIO, Donapula, Goa 1993, the author elaborated on “Molecular Force Field and Constants of Light, Massive and Super Massive water-like molecules” specifies the super-Water molecule frequencies as 3020.1, 1926.69 and 3617.24 in cm-1 and thought linked with atmospheric disturbed conditions of Peninsular regions of volcanic eruptions in

(a). Burma.              (b). India.                 (c). Australia.         (d). Africa.

Q6. On August 14, 2012 the author observed a lightning of an unusual magnitude evening around 6h30m P.M. sighted by him specifically due to the simultaneous Earth Tremors which lasted about 10secs of that region affecting about seven villages, due to possible Anti-Matter. He obtained two fits of the lightning splash by a numerical analysis.(ISC, Kolkata, Jan 3rd to 7th,2013 by the author KLN). The glow exhibited a light which is of color, (Scientific American Magazine of August 2012)

(a). Blue.                  (b). Green.              (c). Violet.               (d). Red.

Q7. The interpretation of the unusual lightning photographed and observed by the author on 14 August 2012 has been interpreted in a subsequent paper (Monday Dec 9,2013 “Possible New Groups of LU8 for Dark Matter and the Elementary Particle interactions”, trusciencetrutechnology@blogspot.com,  Volume 2013,  Issue No.7 Dt. 26 July 2013 at 12h34m P.M.) by him as an Anti-gravity-like event due to colliding particles of Dark Matter in the interior of

Q8.  The surface engulfed by the windings (topological) physically implies extraction of energy in terms of RANGADHAMA QUANTA. The extent or the length of the arcual winding on the PERAM MANIFOLD can be determined by integrating the square root of the first fundamental form, for each specific value of δ i.e., within the limits of 0 to δ. The first fundamental form coefficients depend linearly on the nature of the surface being functions of δ. Design of the arcual windings over collection of local surfaces presents a fascinating picture of squeezed surface by the curls. This visualization of the PERAM MANIFOLD on an underlying surface is a radical departure from conventional understanding of a curve on a

(a). Domain.                   (b). Sphere.           (c).Position.          (d). Surface.

Q9. The rest mass of these QUANTA the PERANGONS, can be determined from this relation mg= mp e2ζΔ σ where ζ=-1. Adopting the Hubble radius of the Universe as 1027 cm and x equal to the radius of a typical biological Cell (3000Å) we obtain the ratio of  x’/x= e = 2E-32.The rest mass of PERANGON QUANTA of the Cell then turns out to be ) 0.667E-30gm. The values of the quantities ζ=-1 and α=5/2 are unique set as they would lead to some linear scale PERANGON TRANSFORMATION for the rest mass as well the radius a feature not noted previously (Narayana et al 1976). These PERANGON propagators do indeed hold the biological cell to exist as an

Q10. K. L. Narayana, Kolhapur, ”Spinorial Optics of structural vibrations of         Ions(atoms) and The Quasi-particle Quantization of Rangadhama Effect”, Paper No.147, Section IV, Chemistry Section, p.65-66, 70th Proc. Ind. Sci. Cong. Part III, Shri Venkateswara University, 6th January 1983. This paper gives concepts of spinorial polarization of Molecular Vibrations, Peram Manifold (ψ, χ, η, δ, α), Rangadhama and Anti-Rangadhama Effect (RE and ARE) the effexts of which found to persist over life-time of τ= 10 -3 sec which leave the state coherent but changes its

       (a). amplitudes.        (b).Sign.       (c). Magnitudes.     (d). Orientations.

Q11. The author presently suggests that essentially the polymeric chain radical repeat unit elements sustain the Rangadhama Quanta which metamorphically generate the superconductivity, in the temperature domain, near critical temperatures. The new formulation envisages the mechanism as that the typical organic pack provide an insulating barrier that manifests the superconductivity in a catastrophic manner. But, this process of generation of superconductivity, sustained by the said topological quanta, much depends on the frequency characteristics of induced weak coupling strength of the

(a). Photons.         (b). γ- rays.  (c). β-strengths.    (d). New Quanta.

Q12.The topological aspects of vibrating radicals in composite materials are said to possess a quasi-particle Quanta of Spinorial polarization and consequent renormalized vibrational energy characteristics. These quanta termed as Rangadhama Quanta and these and their Anti-Quanta allow the spinorial plaquette energies to have temperature dependence, such that these energies more closely resemble the energies of vibrating radical collective modes which may thus be excited at a given

(a). Pressure    (b). Polarization.   (c). temperature. (d). vibration

Q13. A characteristic (hitherto refer as) PERAM FACTOR has been defined to gauge the upper atmospheric scaling for reflections at a higher frequencies of the order 1017 Hz near the place where the dielectric plasma (below) to that of a conducting plasma (above) separate out. The Infra-Red Scale height is set to have max and min limits with, at an altitude transition region from about 500km to

(a). 100km.           (b).1000km.        (c). 200km.               (d). 10km.

Q14. The significance of the result is that the zero-point vibrations of the molecules being retained inside the solid, molecular vibrations give rise to R and AR quanta with effective charges of 0.6e to 0.8e and involving energies of the order 0.05eV to 0.09eV. Heat is carried by both R and AR quanta, and lattice waves or the phonons although the contribution of electrons is most. These quanta R and AR form a Bosonic pair (designated Raons) that freely moves inside the material, by certain types of exchange interaction processes. It happens that they the quanta posses’ energy of the same order as the thermal energies or the vibrational modes of energies. Exchange interactions that occur are found to be

(a).slow  (b).fast    (c).rapid. (d).oscillatory.

Q15. The motion of an electron is correlated with R spin in such a way that physically it behaves like “R - driven fluid”. R and AR quanta exhibit cycloid motion near edges and buttress the electronic liquid structure characteristics of ROSFET. R and AR spins have masses and charges “effectively” related to the electrons and holes of an electronic device like the

Q16. The observation of Novae stars in the region of Coma Bernices is confirmative unlike the observation by Maria Teresa Ruiz in 1997. (BOOK ENTITLED ‘PERAM MANIFOLD AND RANGADHAMA EFFECT’ PUBLISHED IN January 2014). Physics of the stellar structures of the Novae stars cannot be readily understood with strict adherence to standard relativistic practices. The polynomial fit of this data yields mass parameters that characterize the Novae Star. The found values, are m0=239.47, m1=-5.07, and m2= 0.02. Here density is in the units of g/cm3 and radial distance in the units of km. Upper layers at few thousand kilometers of Schwarzschild radial coordinate over even a few millimeters thickness posses gaseous matter with densities of 3.34 to 7.85 g/cm3 have constituents of the dense molecules embedded in the degenerate gases of electrons and the Novae particles, or the later termed as

(a).Rao particles (b).Anti-Rao particles. (c).Quanta. (d).neutrons.

Q17. Dr.K.V.N.Rao’s(Ill, Urbana, USA) generalized SST helps to launch more than one sensing signal to understand the disturbed Plasma Environment, of the Lunar surface and its embedded atmosphere. Compact Space Probes based on Dr. K. V. N. Rao’s SST would be a boon to Lunar/Chandhrayana Missions being planned in a global enterprise. With the temperature, on the Lunar surface, ranging over far below freezing and to high temperatures beyond 1500 degree Kelvin it offers, transition features, of certain properties, of the Lunar Material. The interactions responsible, for the transitions, have coupling constants that generate Direct or Exchange contributions to the Energy levels of the New

Q18. The Thursday 22nd July 2010, evening and night heavy rain of very chilly and cold weather is found to be an indication of the Rao & Anti-Rao quanta physical phenomenon of the ice cold clouds formation. It may not be that this shrinkage is responsible for the sudden climate change following the low-pressure depression in Bay of Bengal but something an involved physical phenomenon has taken place. A significant finding is that particular colors have persisted in the days the July 20, 2010 to the July 26, 2010 characteristic of the sudden weather changes that have occurred during these days.  On  July 17,  2010 the upper layer of atmosphere shrank so much that researchers are at a loss to explain it. It is the biggest happening of thermosphere in at least 43 years may be an

(a)      Expansion. (b).Contraction. (c).oscillation. (d).Illusion.

Q19. A model of universe characterized by a metric with cylindrical symmetry geometry endowed with the time renormalization allows the interplay of Rao and the Anti-Rao quanta interaction with the gravitational fields. The geometrical Ricci tensor may be used to obtain the mass of theses quanta. This tensor yielded two sets of masses ±2.85 & ±0.65 for the Rao and the Anti-Rao quanta justifying their physical existence as massive quanta of both positive and negative energy. This is unlike the Dirac Sea of negative energy since we have both r and t variables to obtain the entity “wt”. The thought of the fluid is more appropriate in view that Rao and the Anti-Rao quanta have negligible mass and endowed with effective charges of extremely small values. The X-Ray scattering broadening and the brightness features of the Earth’s terrestrial atmosphere and the ionosphere would have existed bathed with these quanta excited molecular structures. The solar wind stream of energetic protons of energies 10GeV would definitely loosen the Rao and the Anti-Rao quanta within these crystalline and chemically bound structured Mars material. Do they extend beyond the realm of the Big Bang  or the Inflationary theory of origin of the universe is an open question, a subject matter for my next

Q20. Contrasting radioactive elemental foam spectra of the Bay of Bengal Sea waves has been suggested to support the concept of the role of Rao and Anti-Rao Quanta. On the 21st February the Sun Spectrum was one of a brilliant Yellow while the Moon spectrum has very little yellow band. On the 24th morning the Venus and the moon duo could be captured in the frame of digital photography. But alas the recorded of spectra became very elusive due to bad cloudy weather conditions. But on the 27th morning both the Venus and Moon spectra could be obtained with some effort. The significant finding is in respect of the spectra of the Moon that exhibited clearly the difference in the spectral features of the shadowed region of lunar surface by Earth and the unaffected the edge region of the crescent Lunar tip. The broadening and the shift in the spectra are suggested the possible role of the Rao and Anti-Rao Quanta scattering, of the regions of Lunar surface, which are

Q21. A lake at the foot of the Mount Everest that did not exist in 1950 was created due to melt of Glacier and expanded into an area 1012sq.km. Seismologists confirm that the Himalayas record about six minor tremors every day, and the danger is as much an earthquake, as from landslides and avalanches. When these rubble hits a minor lake they create hazards. There are about 55000 glaciers in Himalayas that guard India, and if some of them create lakes due to global warming it would be extremely difficult situation since the earthquake fault regions would become highly vulnerable for sudden floods and havoc due to seismic activity which is generally

(a). predictable.      (b). sensed.  (c). recorded.  (d). unpredictable.

Q22. The present author conjectures that the Earthquake may be due to the interplay of Rao and Anti-Rao Quanta with the gravitational features of the terrestrial structure and the release of enormous energy in the form of an upheaval of the tectonic plates is a possible theory. It has been observed that the Sun Rays have fallen on the idol, SUN God at Arasuvalli, slightly shifted off the central line, by several inches, towards the right of it. This shows that the Indian Continent might have considerably shifted, since the original positioning of the Idol, must have been one of a direct Sun Rays fall, on the central part itself of the main sculpture of the Sun idol. This supports the theory put forward by the present author that the Indian continent was undergoing a rotational movement. But the present author conjectures that the Earthquake may be due to the interplay of Rao and Anti-Rao Quanta with the gravitational features of the terrestrial structure and the release of enormous energy in the form of an upheaval of the tectonic plates is a possible theory.

The Fig 23 of 9h05mP.M.on March 13, 2011, published in trusciencetrutechnology@blogspot.com, Dt. Monday March 21,2011 of the Moon intensity profiles is surmised to understand the definite role being played by the Rao and Anti-Rao quanta with the gravitational fields of the both the moon and the earth. Entropy, spinorial polarization states, excitation of modes of vibrations typical of a superconducting state are suggested, to give rise to the spin 0, charged Rangadhama dressed Quasi-particles, and quanta as that which leads to High-Tc and lower Fermi Energy EF Superconducting phenomenon. The dressed “Ragnons” (analogous to Plasmons but distinctly different) reflect spin 0 and charge ±1, with their optimum extending over several force field orders of magnitudes. Q30. The Kolar Gold Field experiments, in India performed during the years 1960-70s and again in 1980s, results are being reexamined to ascertain whether the unusual events detected in a long deep 2.3km deep tunnel may have been due to DECAYS of hitherto unknown dark Matter particles. Latest issue of Pramana carries this report by Institute of Mathematical Sciences Chennai. Possible DM mass particle of mass 5-10GeV by experiments called CDMSII being discussed. Its life time is believed to be of order of the lifetime of universe i.e. about 1010 years. But CDMSII experiments suggest a particle of mass 8.2GeV.But the LUX experiment has not observed any such particle. The first phase during years 1960-70s studied cosmic ray neutrino interactions and the second examined possible proton decay and its life time. Q31.Mass spectrometer has been shrunk by a team of researchers of IIT, Madras details published in an article in Angewandte Chemie International Journal third week of this month. Till now solution of samples is electro-sprayed at 3000voltsto create droplets that become ions. The present technique utilizes high electric field produced by a low voltage. One volt over a few nano-meters creates an electric field similar to 10MV over a centimeter.  The model suggested herein takes into account of the fact that the pump electromagnetic wave frequencies with the upper atmospheric dielectric plasmas give rise to the oscillator wave component (OW) as well excites certain electromagnetic like modes of plasma. It eventually leads to meaningful values of plasma excitation frequencies within the purview of present day experimental observations. PERAM FACTOR  utility is thus two fold on one hand it establishes the requisite correspondence with the existing data of upper atmospherics plasma features and on the other hand allows the instability approaches to arrive at reasonable mechanism of heat pipelining of the upper atmosphere.        The quantum uncertainty in the phase of the spinorial coherent state has the limit n0 -1/2 ( Rp τ) -1 where Rp is the fundamental RANGADHAMA COUPLING CONSTANT on the PERAM MANIFOLD, the two limits lead to an optimal numbers of quantum n0 and a physically reasonable quantum limits,
Δa/b = n0 -1/2 ( Rp τ) -1 With the ellipses confinement amplitudes as “a and b”. The Spinorial (Spontaneous) polarization is found to be Δa/b [= 1 / ( Rp τ √n0 )] where n0 is the Quanta Number, under the quasi-particle quantization condition a x b= n0 / N. In our estimates we obtain the values of Rp to be within the basic weak interaction strength. Hence, the spinorial interaction may be treated as a very weak force.  Here N is formal unit of elements per unit volume and Rp the coupling constant of Rangadhama Effect. Q89. Spintronics is an emerging field of electronics, where devices work by manipulating the spin of electrons rather than the current generated by their motion. This field can offer significant advantages to computer technology. Controlling electron spin can be achieved with materials called 'topological insulators', which conduct electrons only across their surface but not through their interior. One such material, samarium hexaboride (SmB6), has long been theorized to be an ideal and robust topological insulator, but this has never been shown practically. SmB6's insulating properties are based on a special phenomenon called the 'Kondo effect'. The Kondo effect prevents the flow of electrons from being destroyed by irregularities in the material's structure, making SmB6 a very robust and efficient topological 'Kondo' insulator. Although SmB6 shows insulating behavior only at very low temperatures the experiments provide a proof of principle, and more importantly, that Kondo topological insulators actually exist, offering an exciting stepping-stone into a technology of

Q93. Rao et al [5](K. V. Narasinga Rao et al),”Interaction of Microwaves in gaseous Plasmas Immersed in Magnetic Fields”, Proc. IRE, Vol.49, Number 12, December p.1877-1889, (1961).

Interaction of EM waves in gaseous plasmas immersed in magnetic fields was the subject of experimental observations by Rao et al [5]. After a pulsed hot gas discharge akin to magneto plasma of afterglow, due to self-modulation, the energy state of the gaseous plasma changes. Each wave packet propagates in slightly different plasma than the previous one Rao et al[5]. Momentum transfer collision between light and heavy constituents of plasma, in certain conditions, hinders energy transfer. The energy of particle in this situation grows in between collisions. During afterglow of the beam-treated plasma, this modulation of plasma density exists in the form of density wells and bunches. Rao et al [5] have given details of how the EM energy is transferred into kinetic energy of a charged constituent of plasma confinement gets altered, with concomitant collision frequency changes. The wave bunches propagate along the magnetic field without spreading. Width of individual pulse comprises the wave packet. Non-linear wave packets due to cross-modulation Rao et al [5] propagation speeds depend on their amplitudes. In a stable equilibrium set between the effects of non-linearity and dispersion and during that phase a part of initial disturbance is converted into escaping soliton. Wave packets could convert to the stable soliton state with increasing amplitude and decreasing size just when the packet size exceeds the Debye radius. The cavitons found by Rao et.al. [5] have a size of the order of several Debye radii. The life time of sustenance of cavitons has been reported as much more than the collapse time of a Longmuir effect. The plasma density oscillations, with the cavitons of course, have been found to go with the double or multiple excitation frequencies of EM waves. Discrete character of the small signal amplitudes realized in the experiments performed by Rao et al [5] is finer than the conventional spectroscopy spectra of scattered EM waves, especially in the regions where the cavitons exist. The EM wave treated plasma during the afterglow led to observation of plasma density cavitons and bunches, which correlate with the bunches of KVNRao et al [5]. These bunches can travel considerable distances along the magnetic field without spreading. It is this feature that suggests formations of

Q99. August 12, 2014, University of Massachusetts Amherst: Lead investigator, chemist Dhandapani Venkataraman, points out that the new techniques successfully address two major goals for device manufacture: controlling molecular assembly and avoiding toxic solvents like chlorobenzene. "Now we have a rational way of controlling this assembly in a ………….system," he says. "It's a completely new way to look at problems. With this technique we can force it into the exact structure that you want." For photovoltaics, Venkataraman points out, "The next thing is to make devices with other polymers coming along, to increase power conversion efficiency and to make them on flexible substrates. In this paper we worked on glass, but we want to translate to flexible materials and produce roll-to-roll manufactured materials with water. We expect to actually get much greater efficiency." He suggests that reaching 5% power conversion efficiency would justify the investment for making small, flexible solar panels to power devices such as smart phones. If the average smart phone uses 5 watts of power and all 307 million United States users switched from batteries to flexible solar, it could save more than 1500 megawatts per year. "That's nearly the output of a nuclear power station," Venkataraman says, "and it's more dramatic when you consider that coal-fired power plants generate 1 megawatt and release 2,250 lbs. of carbon dioxide. So, if a fraction of the 6.6 billion mobile phone users globally changed to solar, it would reduce our carbon footprint a lot."

An object of my work is that the Graviton of Spin-2 and Quadrupole of Spin-2 of several nuclei in the observation of the Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance experiments intrinsically involve the coupling of Gravitons with the Nuclear Quadrupole Moments. The two “Spin 2” association for the Quadrupole (QP) and the Spin 2 Graviton explicitly is given by  QP : 2, 1, 0, -1, -2 and Graviton : 2, 1, 0, -1, -2 results in about (9) : 4,3,2,1,0,-1,-2,-3,-4 plus about (7) : 3, 2, 1, 0, -1, -2, -3 plus about (3) : 0, -1, 1 plus the left over Zero spins numbering about (6): 0,0,0,0,0,0 totaling as 9+7+3+6=25.
We may mathematically describe the finding as
QPVspin 2 Θ spin 3 Θ spin 1 Θ six spin 0 = Spin 4, where V is a product and Θ is a subtraction symbols. This happens to be a new formulation as a spin structure that can easily be extended to higher spin values.

The equation for realization of the possible values of Spin 4 gravity is t9μν-30*t7μν+273*t5μν-820*t3μν+576*tμν with all possible integral values for spin from -4 to +4. This theory by the author refutes

Q102. [TRUWIZ 115]. A completely new view of the space-time structure its involvement with the Gravitons is envisaged and presented to account for terrestrial atmosphere presence of Pions, new Photons and new Anti-Photons. The diagrammatic approach to evaluate the matrix elements is given. The new current matrix elements of the graviton, with one - Pion state, (sum) new gamma, yields new mathematics of new Algebra,

<g| Aμν (x)| (π+μ  γν )>

with novel sum of the right hand side. The new photons have projections to go with the similar Pions to match the Graviton of five projections +2, +1, 0, -1, -2. Similar expressions for the Anti-Graviton, Anti-Photon and the Anti-Pion are suggested and explicitly formulated by me. The effect of Gravity on virtual Pion-Gamma pairs as they propagate through space lead to a violation of Einstein’s equivalence principle while the effect is difficult to be measured being virtual its effects on creation of Muon-neutrino pairs and virtual Photons seems to be manageable. The analogous matrix element for, the Anti-Photon γ’ν is possible. Obviously the formalism developed helps to easily write down the corresponding matrix elements for the π μ.  The new photons adopted in the present work [published Ind. Science Congress, 2015 at Univ. of Mumbai, Mathematics Session, 3rd to 7th Jan 2015] has components about

Q103. Conceiving an Anti-Photon is a very bold venture by the author. Having brought out a monograph book December 2013 on this subject matter the author now feels to extend the concept to higher spins. On Anti-integral and Anti-half integral formalism specifically brings out the new mathematics for the spin-1/2 to spin 4 entities. The tμν = i Sμν yields the realistic and as well the imaginary quantum numbers for the spins ½ to 4 explicitly presented. [Refer the paper by me, given to the 102 Indian Science Congress to be held on 3rd-7th January, 2015 in Mumbai University, Physics Section]. Q104. Binary star to spill celestial secrets: Alexandra Witze : 05 August 2014. Close approach and violent interaction of stars in η Carinae system will provide rare insight into stellar enigma. A binary system, η Carinae has two stars that swing past one another every 5.5 years. The bigger star, some 90 times the mass of the Sun, is incredibly unstable, always seemingly on the verge of blowing up. When the smaller companion star makes its closest approach to the primary star, as is happening now, the interaction between the two triggers violent changes in the high-energy radiation pouring out of the system. Astronomers are watching the show in the hope of learning what drives this enigmatic system. In the 1840s, η Carinae had a mysterious eruption; in recent decades, it has again brightened unexpectedly. The star is in an awfully deranged state, and no one knows why, says Kris Davidson, an astronomer at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Some answers may come in the next few weeks. Theoretical work suggests that when η Carinae’s secondary star passes by, its fast stellar winds bore a huge hole into the outer layers of the primary star (T.I. Madura et al Mon. Not. R. Astron. Soc. Vol.436, p.3820-3855, 2013). Astronomers expect that if they are right about this, then a specific series of events will unfold this month, including a quick rise in the system’s X-ray production after a drop that began in mid-July.  Studying η Carinae has implications far beyond understanding one peculiar celestial system. Uncovering its secrets could help researchers to better understand the earliest stars that winked into existence. Most of today’s stars are much lighter, so η Carinae is a rare modern example of how such a massive star might operate, at the highly observable distance of 2,300 parsecs from Earth. η Carinae is similar to the first stars that formed in the Universe, billions of years ago

Q105. Plasma physics: The fusion upstarts: M.M. Waldrop: 23 July 2014. Advances in High Energy Physics, vol. 2014, ID 959802 (2014). Fuelled by venture capital and a lot of hope, alternative fusion technologies are heating up. Tri Alpha is testing a linear reactor that it claims will be smaller, simpler and cheaper, and will lead to commercial fusion power in little more than a decade, far ahead of the 30 to 50 years often quoted for Tokomaks.   N. Rostoker,  a  Physicist at the University of California, Irvine, who co-founded Tri Alpha in 1998 at the age of 72 and his colleagues proposed ditching D–T fuel in favor of fusing protons with Boron-11, a stable isotope that comprises about 80% of natural Boron. Igniting this p–11B fuel would require temperatures of about a billion Kelvin, almost 100 times as hot as the core of the Sun.  And the energy created in each fusion event would be only about half that released by D–T. But the reaction products would be practically free of troublesome neutrons: the fusion would generate just three energetic helium nuclei, also known as α-particles. These are charged, so they could be guided by magnetic fields into an 'inverse cyclotron' device that would convert their energy into an ordinary electric current with around efficiency.

Q106. 'Super fluid space-time' points to unification of physics. Thinking of space and time as a liquid might help reconcile quantum mechanics and relativity asserts C. Moskowitz, 19 June 2014. One real-world example, is the Crab Nebula, a remnant of - - - - - about 6,500 light-years from Earth that emits high-energy X-ray and gamma-ray light. By the time this light reaches our telescopes, its energy should have dissipated somewhat if space-time has liquid properties. Observations of the Crab Nebula, however, show no sign of such an effect.

Moskowitz. 10 April 2014. A below ground experiment at the South Pole has now discovered three of the highest-energy neutrinos ever found, particles that may be created in the most violent explosions of the universe. These neutrinos all have energies     (roughly the energy equivalent of one million times a proton’s mass) at the absurdly high scale of

Q111. "Baryons, which are hadrons made of three quarks, make up almost all the matter we see in the universe today," said Brookhaven theoretical physicist Swagato Mukherjee, a co-author on a paper describing the new results in Physical Review Letters. "The theory that tells us how this matter forms, including the protons and neutrons that make up the nuclei of atoms, also predicts the existence of many different baryons, including some that are very heavy, containing one or more heavy 'strange' quarks. Now we have indirect evidence from our calculations and comparisons with experimental data at RHIC that these predicted higher mass states of strange baryons do exist," he said

Q112. Letting in the light: Self-cleaning solar panel coating optimizes energy collection, reduces costs: Bill Cabage,  865.574.4399,  January 29, 2014: Soiling, the accumulation of dust and sand, on solar power reflectors and photovoltaic cells is one of the main efficiency drags for solar power plants, capable of reducing reflectivity up to 50 percent in 14 days. Though plants can perform manual cleaning and brushing with deionized water and detergent, this labor-intensive routine significantly raises operating and maintenance costs (O&M), which is reflected in the cost of solar energy for consumers. There are, however, challenges to the successful development of such a transparent, anti-soiling coating. First, the coating must be very superhydrophobic to minimize the need for occasional cleaning, and it must have minimal (or even zero) effect on the transmission and scattering of solar radiation between the wavelengths of 250 to 3,000 nm. To meet these requirements, the coating must be no more than a few hundred nanometers thick, and the embedded particles must be considerably smaller. The extremely thin coating must also be durable under environmental exposure, including UV radiation and sand erosion, and be compliant according to the US Environmental Protection Agency Clean Air Act emission standards, which limits the selection and combination of particles that can be used effectively and

Q113. Physicists unlock nature of high-temperature superconductivity:  J. G. Levy:  July 28, 2014: Physicists have identified the “quantum glue” that underlies a promising type of superconductivity, a crucial step towards the creation of energy superhighways that conduct electricity without current loss. The new insight allowed them to explore the 30-year-old hypothesis that the quantum glue of superconductivity is the magnetic force. We concluded that magnetism is the quantum glue underlying the emergence of unconventional - - - - - - - - - in CeCoIn5.

Q115. Deep within Spinach Leaves, vibrations enhance efficiency of Photosynthesis: July 13, 2014: N. C. Moore: Charge separation happens in roughly one-hundredth of a billionth of that amount of time. Ogilvie and her research group developed an ultrafast laser pulse experiment that can match the speed of these reactions. By using carefully timed sequences of ultra-short laser pulses, Ogilvie and co-workers were able to initiate photosynthesis and then take snapshots of the process in real time. To get a sample, the researchers bought a bag of spinach leaves from a grocery store. "We removed the stems and veins, put it in the blender and then performed several extraction steps to gently remove the protein complexes from the membrane while keeping them intact. This particular system is of great interest to people because the charge separation process happens extremely efficiently, she said. "In artificial materials, we have lots of great light absorbers and systems that can create charge separation, but it's hard to maintain that separation long enough to extract it to do useful work. In the photo-system II reaction centre, that problem is nicely solved." The researchers used their unique spectroscopic approach to excite the photo-system II complexes and examine the signals that were produced. In this way, they gained insights about the pathways that energy and charge take in the leaves. "We can look at where the energy is transferring and when the charge separation has occurred." The signals they recorded contained long-lasting echoes, of sorts, that revealed specific vibration motions that occurred during charge separation. "What we've found is that when the gaps in energy level are close to vibration frequencies, you can have enhanced charge separation," Ogilvie said. Our experiments have told us about the important timing and motions that are used to separate charge in the photo-system II reaction centre." Signals are
