The most stunning find occurred in 2013, that of a box of precious stones - emeralds, sapphires and rubies worth between 1,30,000 and 2,46,000 euros ($1,45,000 and $2,75,000) - thought to have come from the 1966 crash. Or is it from Malabar Princess in 1950 the present author questions? The crash was almost at the exact spot where Air India Flight 245, a Lockheed 749 Constellation named Malabar Princess, had crashed in 1950.

Scientists have found that one of the largest birds in the world weighing in at up to 15 kilos flaps its wings for one per cent of its flight time. So, the world’s heaviest soaring bird, the Andean condor, uses air currents to stay airborne for hours without any flapping.

July 12, 2020: The comet will be visible to the naked eye for around 20 minutes everyday for 20 days. The comet, which was discovered by NASA’s Near Earth Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) telescope in March, is expected to come closest to Earth on July 22-23. However, it will be visible in the north-western sky as early as next week.

The Supreme Court on Monday sided with the erstwhile Travancore Royal family for the administration and control of the Padmanabha Swamy temple in Kerala. July 14, 2020, 16:25 [IST]: Nokia Rolls Out New Software That Upgrades 4G Networks To 5G. Nokia has launched new software that enables telcos to upgrade its 4G radio stations to 5G. Nokia said in a blog post. The Finnish company further notes that the software upgrade is available immediately for roughly one million radio stations. Another 3.1 million stations are expected to be upgraded by the end of 2020 and 5 million in 2021.Plus, the software upgrade will further help save nearly tens of billions of euros.Particularly, in India where 5G is still in its infancy, the 5G software technology from Nokia will benefit more.

Three of the four circular objects are bright around the edges, reported The Independent. The scientists who observed them do not have any definitive explanation about the formation of such objects.
