ABSTRACT:

The weather in the third week of October 2010 was one of a phenomenon coupled with the events of the SUN and sun coronal holes and the sunspots. One of the sunspots became active while the Coronal hole led o a stream of solar wind that engulfed the earth. The Astronomy study of the Sky made by the present author indicated that the Jupiter and the Earth along with the Moon were affected by the pre-events of the Coronal Hole of the 21st October 2010 and the possibly the quiet sunspots. The reddish airglow of the Moon cannot be just due to the eve refraction of terrestrial origin but was one of a well mixed gesture of the celestial objects of the Solar system. Different regions of the terrestrial regions were differently affected by the magnetic complexity of the SUN.

a. EARTH TREMORS:

Friday 22nd October 2010 night there was rumbling noise at Vansthalipuram that was heard twice and again in the morning of Saturday they felt the fear of the earth quake. But NGRI officials on Friday night informed that no earth quake or its indications had occurred. But Vansthalipuram Red Tank area in Hyderabad region, had a Earthquake of minor magnitude about 1.8R on Saturday 23rd October 2010 night around 9h00m, but the people surprisingly heard the rumbling sounds several times and the NGRI scientists confirmed that the night tremors were detected and they are slightly above 1.8R. Loud bangs and people felt mild tremors and a loud sound around time 11h45m night.

The seismographs again recorded very minor shocks measuring .2 and .1 on the Richter scale and this phenomenon is gradually going to die said NGRI.Similar sounds were heard in Bhainsa in Adilabad district in 1980 and in Nanded in Maharashtra in 2007-08. The quake phenomenon can be attributed to circulation of water inside the earth due to heavy downpour in the past few days in the region said certain concerned officials.

Hyderabad is in Zone 2 earthquake area and experienced quakes in 1994 October, 1995 October, and 1998 October while on 2000 September 17th about 2.5R quake shook the areas of Banjara hills, Jubilee hills, Krishna Nagar, Masab bank, Panjagutta, Amirpeta, and as well in Somajiguda, Hakimpeta, Sheikapeta, Toil Chouk areas also it was felt around 2,5R scale quakes. Up to 5.0R earth tremor may occur at Hyderabad. Near Sachivalaya, NGO colony, areas experienced quakes rumblings in the midafternoon and the school children have been sent away to home.

b. Indonesia Earth Quake:
On Monday 25th Oct 2010 an earthquake of magnitude 7.7R occurred and in coastal region of Mantwai islands of western Sumatra that led to tsunami resulting in more than 500 deaths and about 300 people missing. Also the Archipelago mountain range Mount Meripi has become active and released on Tuesday 26th Oct 2010 with explosive impulse the flowing lava and gray coloured ash that instantly killed 34 people.
Recently in Andaman Island Austin harbor recorded 4.8R and Nicobar had 5.6R in Campbell area earth quakes occurred.

c. WEATHER:

This year South-East monsoon has been delayed and in the mean time the sea of Bay of Bengal is having low depression phenomenon in the middle of the ocean. Actually they should form in the southern India region of the sea. But the North West has not totally withdrawn and remained afloat in the central India region. These should have moved from central India to Andhra Pradesh but since 11th October 2010 this monsoon has remained solid in the Central India. The temperature in the Bay of Bengal if it reaches 27deg or above then the low depressions would get created. The recent low depression has moved away from middle of Bay of Bengal turned as severe storm on Thursday at 11.30AM named as Giri. This from Sitvy Minar is about 350kms away and from koks bazaar Bangldesh is 450kms away and from digha west Bengal is 650kms away. It crossed land at Tiknash in Bangladesh at 5h30m PM on Friday 22nd, 2010.
On Oct. 24th, 2010 an outburst of color bright enough to rival the Moon spread across the skies of Scandinavia was observed and has been photographed by Nick Howes. The 25th Oct 2010 was celebrated in Andhra Pradesh as Attla Thadhiya (rice pan cake) festival. Sunspot group 1117 increased in spot count and magnetic complexity. No big flares as yet found on the 25th Oct 2010.
It’s very interesting to note that a low-depression has turned into a storm on the 26th October 2010 Tuesday morning and rained heavily in Visakhapatnam for about an hour from 9.30AM to 10.47AM. Also it’s interesting to note that there was a big earthquake in Indonesia western coast at magnitude 7.5R Kepuloven Mentanie region on Monday 25th October 2010 night at 9h45m PM as announced by US geophysical experts. West Sumatra capital Padaung people were terrified of a tsunami that didn’t occur. The tremor was felt for about 3 seconds.

d. SpaceWeather

SpaceWeather said on 21st October 2010 Sunday that all of the sunspots on the Earth-facing side of the sun are relatively stable and quiet. No big solar flares it said are expected in the next 24 hours. But Coronal Holes of 21st October 2010 resulted in a solar wind stream flowing from the indicated coronal hole that reached the Earth on Oct. 25th or 26th. These were the days when Visakhapatnam was engulfed in thick water bearing clouds.

Solar winds protons of low density but enormous speeds ranging from 615 to 650km/sec were observed. It produced beautiful Northern lights on the weekend days.

e. The Full Moon Day:

Photographer Tamas Ladanyi said night's full Moon cast a bright light over this colorful autumnal forest in the Bakony Mountains of Hungary, it was almost like daylight. After three days of quiet stagnation, sunspot 1117 is growing again on the Sunday 23rd October 2010. Comet Hartley 2 could be photographed in Hawaii on the Full Moon night (Revathi Nakshtra till 8h43m PM and next Aswani up to 10h35mPM on 23rd Oct 2010) and appeared at the constellation Auriga with the Capella star, high in the northern sky with its tail very well defined and stood in beautiful contrast to the diffuse green coma.
It may noted that the Moon in Pisces i.e. Meena Rasi constituting the Purva Bhadhra 4th step, Uttar Bhadra 1,2,3,4 steps and Revathi 1,2,3,4 steps on the days 19th October to 22nd Oct 2010 eve of Full Moon night till 8h43mPM resulted in excessive rain in Visakhapatnam that continued the following days as well.
In Vira Bruk, Sweden, photographer Mr.P.M. Hedén turned his attention to a moonlit waterfall. There was a time he said “when I didn't like the full Moon because it prevented me from doing any deep-sky photography. Now I really enjoy walking around the moonlit landscape and doing lunar light photography instead."
On 27th October 2010 there was bright sun light since the morning in spite that there were extensive dense whitish clouds during the previous night. Weather has become chilly and the maximum and minimum temperatures are ranging from 27deg to 25 deg C. The low depression condition about 2km height in Bay of Bengal has however persisting threatening coastal rains. On 27th night the Visakhapatnam sky was somewhat clear except for occasional pass by clouds and many images of the Orion Constellation and the Sirius star could be captured by the present author.
