New details of her divinity powers

Mrs. Peramma Kotcherlakota (1904-1971)
Biography details

as per Dr. Lalitha Kumari MD (USA)

ABSTRACT

Seeing the struggle of the doctors and the efforts by them finally at 8.30PM or so Mrs. Peramma Garu told them all to vacate the room 12 and she closed the doors for no one’s entry. Being the wife of Late Prof K R Rao none of the medical experts were able to exercise their medical expertise and left the place with saddened hearts.

The three and half months of 1971 before the demise of Mrs. Peramma Garu was of exceptional concern and her divine nature surpassed the earthly bonds. Dr. Rama Leela was a Lady Gynecologist at the Ghosha Hospital, just for ladies only, of Visakhapatnam posted just for three months. She took exceptional care to supervise and doctored the birth of a baby from a mother, when both the child and mother were suffering from the chickenpox disease. The delivery was good and the mother and child were recovering. But alas Dr. Rama Leela suffered from the Chickenpox disease. She has been under care by her mother Mrs. Peramma Garu in Narasimha Ashram residence for nearly ten days, applying the “Cuticura powder with Boric acid” and was consoling her from the dread disease. Mrs. Peramma Garu to pray the Goddess Yellamma (famous Jatra) and accordingly, with the help of a maid-servant Appayamma, mother managed to send Pasupu & Kukuma, a sari, and other sacred items of worship just before Dr. Rama Leela was moved to the intensive care units of a hospital next to the TB Hospital of the city. Remarkably within a day Dr. Rama Leela recovered from the Chickenpox and hardly a day she stayed in the hospital.

The hilltop temple in where the two incarnations of “Pedd’avida”and “Chiin’avida” located has become a site of visit by Dr. Ramaleela and Dr.Lalitha from USA. Upmaka Temple has a special reverence and devotion by the Children of Late Mrs. Peramma Rangadhama Rao a hill temple place very ancient where Sri Venkateswara resides. The special attachment of Mrs. Peramma and her children to this temple is the devoted conviction that two sisters “Pedd’avida”and “Chiin’avida” are resident there even to-date.

DIVINITY POWERS

It is remarkable that Dr. Lalitha Kumari has a clear remembrance of the details of the biographical accounts of Mrs. Kotcherlakota Peramma Rangadhama Rao New details of her divinity powers and the details told to me by her are enlisted.

The most significant fact is that Late Professor K R Rao D.Sc. (Madras) D.Sc. (London) was hospitalized in KGH at Visakhapatnam due to a heart complaint during the year 1957 June to almost February 1958.  During that time mother Mrs. Peramma used to carry the prepared home food to Dr. K. R. Rao and she made herself available to him from morning 10AM to late night 7PM. Again early morning she used to prepare the food for all her school going (and college) children and carry the specified food, of requirement, to her husband to the KGH hospital.

At that time her eldest son, an electrical engineer in Andhra government service, with his family of a wife and two kids Jaya and Sri Hari resided at the Narasimha Ashram residence for nearly nine months time. The expense account was very huge and Dr. K. R. Rao as soon he recovered and came back to the residence, immediately told him to shift away from the residence Narasimha Ashram, in Official Colony, Maharanipeta. P.O. Visakhapatnam.

A REMARKABLE EVENT

What happened in the Hospital on a fateful evening around 7PM was remarkable happening regarding the health of Late Prof. K. R. Rao. He complained of developing hick ups of heart failure and immediately doctors were summoned to the room 12 at KGH special wards, and they Dr. V. Ragunath Rao Senior Specialist and Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr. Kopacchi Krishna Murthi the devoted and brilliant Medical Junior doctor, and Dr. Meenakshi a distant and intimate relative of Late Prof K R Rao, all tried their best to watch Late Prof K R Rao’s struggle of sudden hiccups, of almost a collapsing stage at the hospital ward. Nearly for two hours they struggled, but in vain and Dr. Meenakshi resorted to revival of the patient by artificial inhalation through the mouth.

No one knows what happened in the closed door room 12 of the KGH that late night, but within a few hours Mrs. Peramma Garu opened the doors and to the utter surprise of the Medical experts they found Prof K R Rao revived and in good sportive spirit.

I shall be failing to add the fact that Mrs. Peramma Garu is an ardent devotee of her mother-in-law Late Mrs. Ramayamma Garu (the father-in-law Mr. KVNRao). It’s difficult to ascertain exactly what happened at that time of remarkable recovery of late Prof K R Rao, and what divine support Mrs. Peramma Garu used to recover him from the jaws of imminent death.

Whether Mrs. Ramayamma Garu’s of sacred stanzas recitation or otherwise of what transpired during that time of Mrs. Peramma Garu’s splendid recourse from 8h30m PM to 10PM in the closed room 12 of KGH is just a mystery.

It is well known that Late Mrs. Ramayamma Garu possessed unspecified divine powers of graciousness and was capable of foretelling the events of demise and other mishaps of happenings. She demonstrated her divine powers to some close relatives who challenged her, and on one occasion she said that a person travelling would die, and if desire so, you may go and save him, she retorted.  She was not educated but had the power of reciting excellent Sanskrit Vedas in the early mornings from 4AM on ward. [Refer: some other details of her powers published by the author in biographical sketches of the family matters].

We children are blessed by the graciousness of the God, that’s all we can state.

AN UNFORGETTABLE MOTHER

Peramma Garu in Narasimha Ashram residence for nearly ten days, applying the “Cuticura powder with Boric acid” and was consoling her from the dread disease, but alas it was not healing up promptly. Dr. K. Srinivasa Rao, Prof of Internal Medicine, KGH, and doctors were keeping a watch but alas the dreaded disease is not subsiding. September 24 was the possible date, just before the ‘Polaramma Amavasya’ after the Vijaya Dasami.   She had been moved to the hospital near the TB hospital, since neighbors may not agree staying her with the dreaded disease at home in Official Colony.

Dr. C. V. Ramani advised mother Mrs.

Later she got posted to Yelamanchaili, where a relative elder cousin brother Dr. Venugopal wife, a widower, was staying and she visited often their house and helped the elders Mrs. Peramma Garu and the Prof. K. R. Rao. They lived there for about couple of months during October, November and December 1971.

[Mother Mrs. Peramma Garu told me that the marriage of the Dr. Venugopal, elder to even my eldest brother Mr. Ramakrishna Rao, with that Lady would not survive long was predicted but the step mother insisted on the marriage, alas the marriages are made in heaven!! Destiny made the couple Mrs. Peramma Garu to live with them in Yelamanchaili.]

But, alas since then mother Mrs. Peramma Garu was losing her health. Hardly two months in November and December 1971, Mrs. Peramma Garu and her husband Late Prof. K. R. Rao, stayed there with the daughter Dr. Ram Leela.  There she, Mrs. Peramma Garu developed dreadful jaundice fever and was forced to move to Visakhapatnam in a state of coma from which she never recovered and died on December 31, 1971, in the Father’s big room at Narasimha Ashram. The room was closed for nearly six months and father shifted to the mother’s room and there he collapsed on June 20, 1972 at 9h09m A.M. on the mother’s cot.

Narasimha Ashram a secluded house in those days of 1930s was a forerunner of house hold settlements in Visakhapatnam in Maharanipeta area. The 1932 to 1942 a period of ten years of the built of house and their residing in this house was a great event of Visakhapatnam. The “muddha Sapanga flower”  with just five or six petals, that used have a strong scented flavor lasting for the next day as well, was a great attraction and Mrs. Peramma Garu used to wear the flower, since its smell has the remarkable property of a genuine upraise of feminine hood.

The hilltop temple in where the two incarnations of “Pedd’avida”and “Chiin’avida” located has become a site of visit by Dr. Ramaleela and Dr.Lalitha from USA. The special attachment of Mrs. Peramma and her children to this temple is the devoted conviction that two sisters “Pedd’avida”and “Chiin’avida” are resident there even to-date.

I must state that Mrs. K Peramma Garu became totally a family member of Kotcherlakota family immediately following her marriage to K Rangadhama Rao. She was hardly 14 years old and within just few years time i.e. around the year 1920. Mrs. Peramma served her Father-in-Law and as well the Mother-in-Law Shree Ramayammagaru at Tiruvanthpuram with utmost care while Rangadhama Rao was studying his M.A. Physics Course in Tiruchinopoly Christian College at age of 23. They were residing by the side of the Kaveri River, Mrs. Peramma Garu was wonder struck by the continuous and devoted bathing of her Mother-in-Law in the Kaveri river waters, and eventually Mrs. Ramayammma garu suffered cerebral attack and died there.

Divinity powers in the family with the children exists even to-date!

Subject: FW: Recall type of trees and plants at Narasimha Ashram

SIMHAM REMEMBRANCE:  I remember all those trees. In addition, we had a Badam tree near the latrine. Also a ‘tulsi’ in front of the steps in the back-yard, which was really the front yard when father built the house (1933-36). He had a ‘Amma’ watch as the cement was rolled by a bullock. He also planted Day queen and night queen in front of the house. In addition he had lot of Crotons. The coconuts were a nuisance to AL Narayana Garu and he wanted them to be cut as the coconuts were dropping on his ‘penketlu’. Father said he cannot cut the coconut as it was not religious. Father suggested to ALN he can hire somebody to cut the coconut tree. Amma does not wish to have a ‘dondakaya’ or a ‘banana’ plant. Amars got the ‘mudda sampangi’ tree cut as that was attracting snakes.  ‘Mamidi kaya’ chettu was a later tree in the 50s. We used to get the brown rice (“dampichandam” by the ladies as soon as we got the grains from Gajapathinagaram (from our lands…which were given to Venkappa and I had been to Gajapathinagaram, and Vijyanagaram to collect the “money” from Raithulu thru Vasantha Rao Venkata Rao’s brother a physics lecture at Maharaja College. Kistappa installed the Euclyptus trees in front of the house, nannagaru objected as the thieves can easily climb them into the daba. Nannagaru never allowed me or Venkappay a bullock. Kistappa installed the Euclyptus trees in front of the house, nannagaru objected as the thieves can easily climb them into the daba. Nannagaru never allowed me or Venkappa to build a study room on the daba open terrace he said who will stay there? Do you know we had a balance and weights for measuring the weight of vegetables. We also had a big brass vessel for water storage. Ramanamma the water lady who supplied the water from the wells at bottom of hill. near beach.

I pretty much remember not only all these plants and trees and also enjoying some of those - none of the ladies at home liked wearing the flowers - but of course I wanted the ‘sampenga’, ‘virajaji’ for my ‘jadas’.  Occasionally might have gotten a ‘badam kaya’ or two to break and eat the pappu and in the process make a mess of some of my clothes with the badam ‘daagulu’,  and of course remember the ‘dampulallu’ coming to get the rice out of the paddy that came from the farm. had great times every summer indeed.

         ABSTRACT

Mother Subhadramma (Addidam) married Vaddadi Krishna Murthy a leading Lawyer of the cities Chodavaram and Visakhapatnam, erstwhile British India. Lawyer performed the five days marriage of his daughter, during year 1918 when she was then only 14 years old, with the K Rangadhama Rao of age 19 years of Kotcherlakota family in Visakhapatnam in the “Godevari street” of Visakhapatnam near to the temple of Maha Lakshmi. They were all very polite and amicable in social spirit of enterprise. They are all Niyogi Brahmins and distant relatives. (Dr. K. R. Rao has written out the family tree depicting how the mother Mrs. Peramma Garu is related to him.) Marriage celebrated for full five days, as was the custom of a Hindu marriage those days. The marriage performed by the father Post Master Kotcherlakota Venkata Narasinga Rao and Ramayamma all the families staying within half mile distance in Visakhapatnam near to the Maha Lakshmi Temple. Silent Nature

Know thy Galileo admonished by religious dictum,

People who gauged the stars through lens and pinholes,

At the felled Vijaya Empire Towers of men and women India,

Gone with the wind are the selfless saints of knowledge,

Opportunity denied and suppressed of the talented,

Know the ages of rakshashatwa in the age of human

Denial of workplaces, laboratories, and burning off

The ancient know how of Alexandria, Taxasila, Nalanda

Pure soul believes in Jaganadhachakra of race cycles

Creation wheel that turns over the time periods

Men of magnanimity don’t be after their name and fame

Governing people fix the great and the supreme peers

History that rolls out unchecked likes the seismic waves

Breaking over the seas and oceans of the silent nature.

The New Enlightenment:

Dhurvasula cursed Brahma not to be worshipped,

Vishnu turned into a Rock - God in Kaliyuga,

Shiva to be of a linga form of phenomenon,

Oh, three-some Know thy nature, Of the destroyer,

Of the Sustainer and Of the Creator of Vedas,

The underlying Hiranyagarbha asserts the Shiva

Dharma as manifest form of metamorphosis,

State to state Brahma rupa and evolves

With Vishnu sustenance but alas in the grandeur,

Its Shivoatma, Shiva Dharma, Shivattm, so

Vaishnavites veracious over Shivates, but

The dance of Vibrant Shiva is the temperate,

Manifest Cosmos of myriad Phase Transitions,

The New Enlightenment of Kolana asserts Nature.

NOT TO FAR A DISTANT TO GOD:

Upanishads, Puranas and Vedas boasted of Manvantharas

Science has set the limit of life to few Millenniums ago,

Quasars, Stars, and Galaxies spoke about light years age,

Life and Death of Sun and Planets gave it a lifetime,

Epics Rama, Bharat, Buddha & Christ spoke centuries,

BrahmaLipi, Greek and Sanskrit languages set Civilizations,

Moments of Ajanta, Ellora, Cambodia, Pagodas set yrs of work

Years of labour over temples of worship and muslim onslaught

World wars and kalinga destruction led to peace & prosperity

Olympic games set the sport records to Drug & steroid limits,

Elections and invasions gave timetables of independence,

Nuclear bombs brought the seconds to illuminate the worst,

Traverse microscopic by light, to know limit of physical length,

Cosmic Infinity and the Infinitesimal of thy yet is to be realized!!

Moral of the Poem: Traverse of light across microscopic equals the

Traverse across the infinite path.

Be A Physicist to emancipate Mother Nature.

It’s a swing from the common to uncommon sense

Neither you wish to gain Gold nor reward, pure pleasure,

Know not thy Equilibrium state since ever evanescent,

Brain washed by worship of your poor soul by search,

World at large and the nature are your self-playgrounds,

My dear ever student there’s more to ward off than learn,

Stretch your intellect from the pure to the enlightenment,

Thyself and the humanity involved, discovering the rest,

Pave the rosy path my Guide, my Guru & my Preacher,

In you and me realize that there exists the same Jyothi,

Gray Ash of Nobility and the ash of divine, Oh Physicist,

Conquer Cosmos of myriad fashions, with concrete soul,

Be yourself to discover & uncover the beauty of Nature.
